Taker vs HHH was the only good match nothing else mattered really which is a shame seeing as the card was stacked...even the Rocks bit at the end was stupid

Agree 100%, it seemed like the finish was written just to satisfy the Rock or something with him putting Cena out with one rock bottom and handling the Miz with no trouble. Just seemed to devalue the usual spectacle that a WM main event is, and the title as well. Didn't make much sense to end that way.

Yeah, was a real bummed because it had such potential. Even before the match I told my girlfriend "As long the the writers don't just have the Rock come out and beat up both of them, this is going to be awesome". LOL, so much for that. They could have had Cena go bad, Rock shack hands with the Miz thus turning bad, Rock and Cena team up to beat up the Miz.....anything would have been better than what they did.

ps: I LOL'd when Cena tripped during that match and they had to cover it up. HAHAHA

I agree, I think Snooki's back handsprings could have been the most shocking moment in WM history...

Ending was total meh, HHH v Taker was pretty good though.

WRESTLEMANIA SHORT REVIEW:

Alberto Del Rio and Edge's match was good, but I expected Alberto Del Rio to win. The WWE seriously needs to have a new face holding that championship. I don't know about you, but I am tired of seeing the same people as champs all the time. Edge, John Cena, Randy Orton or Randy Orton, John Cena or Edge. It's just getting boring.

Rey Mysterio and Cody Rhodes match was ok, but not too exciting. The Cody Rhodes mask deal really is getting stupid and needs to go away. Everybody knows there is nothing wrong with his face and you can see it (thanks to the magic of HD TV) so its time they find something else for Rhodes to do. As for Rey Misterio's Captain America outfit, I don't know what that was all about. We are 6 months away from Halloween still so I don't know what he was thinking about. Maybe he wanted to celebrate Halloween early?

Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler's match was a complete joke. Boring as hell. The only thing that kept people interested was Stone Cold Steve Austin. If he wasn't there, I don't think the reception would have been good and even with Austin there, I heard some people screaming "Boring, boring".

The diva's match between Leycool, Trish Stratus and the Jersey ###### Snooki was a complete disaster. What a waste of time. I'm not even going to talk about it.

The match with Big Show, Kane, Santino Marela, etc didn't even last 5 minutes. I don't know what that was all about. The match seemed unrehearsed and a last minute thing that didn't play out too well. Something was not right about that match.

Undertaker vs Triple-H was entertaining, but not great. Both men got hurt for real a few times. Undertaker seems tired and not as energetic and strong as previous Wrestlemanias. His body has taken a lot of abuse and I don't think he has it in him anymore. I seriously see him hanging the gloves in a couple of years. Triple-H is still in great shape but he got hurt early in the match by a bad move that hurt his wrist. It was obvious he was in real pain. Undertaker was in bad shape at the end of the match. If his condition was part of a story line, then he is a damn good actor, but I don't think it was. He really seemed fatigued and hurt. I have never seen him like that before. That match took a toll on him really bad. The match could have been better.

Wrestlemania 27 was not a total failure but it was not a perfect show either. It was missing the excitement and fun of previous Wrestlemanias. Maybe it wasn't organized properly. I don't know, but there was something missing.

Tell us your opinion. What did you think of Wrestlemania 27?

Aside from HHH vs Undertaker & The Rock, this was one of the worst WrestleManias I've ever seen.

I was impressed at Snooki's athleticism!

You're not the only one! :woot: She's 4' 9" with a fairly ample chest :p and she managed to nail that springboard elbow! Well, with the slight exception of Michelle McCool refusing to stay still and slightly botching the move. That final move though, she did botch a little bit. If she waited just a second, she could have kept her balance and then nailed a proper splash.

I'm amazed; she actually has wrestling talent. You know what? If she came to WWE full-time, I'd actually welcome her to the Divas division! She's already better than 90% of them! :p

I'll just comment on the WWE Title match now. The first ending was a bit crap, but I was happy, as it meant Cena wasn't the champion. :) Then when The Rock ordered the restart, I was facepalming, expecting Cena to win, but oh no! The Rock does the right thing that everyone over the age of 5 wanted him to do and hands the win to The Miz! :D AWESOME!!!!!!

You know, after those entrances, I like The Miz more, and I hate Cena even more. I think Cena's entrance is an indication of how hated he is. His entrance was completely god-loving and Christian, and yet the arena still booed him; in Georgia!

But the best entrance of the night belonged to Triple H by a mile. As for the choice of Metallica song, I should have guessed "For Whom the Bell Tolls"; it was so bloody obvious! :p

well, i watched it in HD and fortunately didn't spend anything to do so

to all the suckers that actually paid money to watch it ... congrats on throwing your away money

most predictable wrestlemania ever .... not even a title change

totally agree with you on that one, seems that Snooki may have a respect for the business and actually put in the time to learn a bit. now if only the other "divas" would do the same.

*obvious exceptions would be Trish Stratus, Beth Phoenix and Natalya

------------

According to a report on ProWrestling.net, former WWE creative team member Seth Mates said during a special WrestleMania 27 audio review that prior to the start of the Undertaker vs. Triple H match, it appeared in the arena as if they were rigging Michael Cole's "Cole Mine" to break easier when Taker/HHH used it later on during their match.

------------

Despite WWE claiming to have set a new "entertainment event" attendance record for the Georgia Dome at WrestleMania 27 last night, fans have sent in statistics to confirm two previous events which topped the attendance mark set by WWE last night.

WrestleMania 27 was listed as having 71,617 fans in the building. However, the 2008 SEC Championship Game drew 75,892 fans, while a 2000 Backstreet Boys concert in the venue drew 73,337 fans.

yeah I was pleased Cena didn't win but you have to admit the ending was not main event worthy at all! this is the biggest match in the Wrestling calendar and the ending was weaker then an episode of TNA Impact...the sad fact is Miz will gloat now about something which was awful

Oh BTW, a moment bound to be in a future Botchamania. See when the ref was down and Alex Ryder hit Cena with the briefcase? The ref saw him slide out the ring!

Oh yeah, it was definitely a bad ending. But then, when you restart a match, that happens almost all the time. The only time I haven't seen a crap ending happen from a restart was the 60 minute Ironman match between Shawn Michaels and Bret Hart.

Anyone got any predictions for Undertaker's opponent at WrestleMania XXVIII? :p I know it's a year away, but I've already started thinking about it, provided The Undertaker doesn't retire before then, that is. My brother reckons he'll carry on until next year, because they can't just leave the streak at 19-0; it should round off at 20-0. I'm just trying to think who could be his potential opponent/victim. The Rock popped up in my mind, as he's never had a go at the streak, but he'll probably be gone from WWE within a month. :p

I don't even think Taker can last that long he looked shattered about a few minutes in...I think it might be wise to make next year his last.

That was the first WM I watched in many years, since the WWF Attitude Era.... At least Stone Cold stunned a few just for the fun of it :D Everything else was average at best.... And possibly one of the worst endings ever. All that hype with The Rock and this is what it amounts to?
