A PPV based off ECW, with no blood, and no chairshots to the head. If Joey Styles and Paul Heyman were dead, they'd be spinning in their currently non-existant graves.

Yeah, they seriously screwed up that storyline. They should have booked Lawler to win at WrestleMania (well, that did sort of happen, but then the GM reversed it) and then bumped Cole off RAW and SmackDown. Stick him on NXT and move Matt Striker and William Regal onto the shows!

Oh, they got bored of it ages ago. Vince just isn't listening to them. Like in their recent meeting on one of the sites you linked earlier. He doesn't care about the fact that Extreme Rules will have no blood in it.

He did say in the meeting too that he might put up an offer to buy TNA...

Vince buying TNA would be funny...all those guys who hate Vince will have to move on again! :p

Well, if he buys them, I reckon he should keep them going, like UFC are doing with StrikeForce, and just use them to work up the up-and-coming wrestlers, and then when they're ready, bring them into WWE.

One Night Stand was the ECW PPV. This has nothing to do with it.

Technically, it does. Extreme Rules was the last ECW-related PPV, and Extreme Rules matches were one of ECW's staples.

Once all the StrikeForce contracts and commitments are over, it will be gone.

The PPV was first called ECW: Extreme Rules, yes - and that was to capitalize on the ECW DVD sales. That was 2006. RVD beat Cena for the WWE title.

However, after that it was just Extreme Rules.

As far as 'ECW staples', ECW matches were nothing but 'extreme rules' - no DQ, no countout.

I've just watched SmackDown. It's so obvious where they dubbed over Michelle McCool; I'm sure they could have made it sound more realistic.
