htcz
From a business standpoint, I disagree. And that's how WWE is taking things. Turning Cena heel would essentially please the IWC, and a lot of adult fans, but it's not really gonna make them money. Sure, it may increase their viewing figures a tiny bit, but that wouldn't replace the lost money. Cena's merchandise is on the slide a bit though. CM Punk is now #1 in terms of merch sales, and Zack Ryder's hot on his heels too, having broke into the top 10 last month. If Punk and Ryder end up being #1 and #2 (in either order), then who know? Maybe they might try the heel turn... Ah you are correct :) Forgot about the merchandise, the movies, etc etc. Sadly, yes, they did have to censor the "F" in "WWF", because of those arses at the World Wildlife Fund for Nature (who call themselves "WWF", even though it should be "WWFN"). They allow them to say "World Wrestling Federation in old videos now, but still don't allow any "WWF" mentions. They also don't have to censor the old WWF logos, but only pre-Attitude Era, so this: is allowed, and this: is also allowed, but this: is not allowed and must be blurred out in all videos. IDK, saying something like the WWF Tag Titles....... http://www.google.com/search?q=World+Wildlife+Fund+Tag+Titles&sourceid=ie7&rls=com.microsoft:en-us:IE-Address&ie=&oe= Google brings nothing about the World Wildlife Fund Tag Titles :p In all seriousness, I dont think it was too over the top. So... You are about 10 then? So... You really take sports entertainment seriously then? Its sports mixed with entertainment. You shouldn't get emotional about it. Go ahead and explain and update me on everything :) Like I said, I'm not (and noone else is) obligated to watch every thing moment of the WWE. Not only that, you are supposing that Raw and Smackdown are both avaliable worldwide and I am in the US. Maybe they are not (and maybe I am not from the US). And all WWE programming is not exclusive to the US nor is it international. I imagine you, taking sports entertainment, so seriously, would know there are 10 programs in total from the WWE. In a surprise, Ive just seen that there is one country where Raw is NOT avaliable and another different country where Smackdown is NOT avaliable. I thought worldwide at LEAST Raw AND Smackdown were avaliable. (Im actually reading as I type this) There is another country where Raw and Smackdown are not avaliable at all. So these people dont see anything except "This Week in WWE" which is basically a 60 minute quick recap of both Raw and Smackdown and "WWE Vintage Collection", which are basically videos of old matched. They dont see ANYTHING live or any of the main shows. So stop insulting me (and the rest of us) and fill us in on information please that we may or may not know. MightyJordan
Watched SmackDown earlier. I won't spoil it for anyone, but I'll just say the best bit is at the beginning of the show, and I'd like to say f**k you to the writers for the outcome of that bit. :( Ooh, forgot to add this in: The Undertaker update: Recent surgery and return? Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter The Undertaker has had another hip and shoulder operation since he's been away from the ring. Last year around this time there was doubt in Taker's health for WrestleMania but the latest word is that he's recovered well and is ready for Miami. We don't know yet who Taker's opponent is for WrestleMania 28 but word is that it has already been decided on. WWE officials have reportedly decided on the top three WrestleMania matches, including John Cena vs. The Rock, and Taker's match will be the #2 top match on the card. Anyone wanna make predictions for 'Taker's WrestleMania opponent? Some people are saying Wade Barret; seems like it would be a bit of a cop-out, but I think it's starting to become a bit more likely. I don't really mind who it is, as long as it's not Triple H again...

timster
For those who missed Raw tonight, Kane made his WWE return during the main event and attacked John Cena. Kane returned wearing a new mask, then removed it after he attacked John Cena to reveal yet another new mask underneath. For those who missed it, former WWE Tag Team Champion "Road Dogg" Jesse James returned on Raw tonight to present the Slammy award for Pipebomb moment of the year. As previously reported, Road Dogg now works with WWE as a backstage agent/producer.

htcz
Watching RAW now so I wont read the rest of the thread. Did the announcers said (continually) that the 3 way TLC math Punk, Del Rio and Miz is by pin or sub? Since when? TLC matches they are always ladder matches basically. What the ****? htcz
"Surprised" (with quotes of course) that Kane returned with a mask (excluding the promos) Here is why: ...Kane character as the mask was removed. "I think it was time. We had gone as far as we could go with the character under the mask. I actually felt the mask was limiting my ability to do some things... For years, to portray emotion I had to do it with my body. I never could do it with my face as the other superstars were able to. So, it added another dimension." http://forums.prowrestlingfans.com/general-wrestling/45290-interview-kane-removing-his-mask-wwe-return-more.html He has also once stated that he was uncomfortable performing in the mask. This new mask is probably a lot more comfortable and since we have seen his face, the mask can be a bit more "open" so it can be comfortable and at the same time "the old Kane"
htcz
Ive read the article hyping up the 3way TLC match and it says that the title will be suspended above the ring.....I have no idea why they were screaming all the time on RAW that it must be won by pinfall or submission when all TLC matches have been basically ladder matches. MightyJordan
Sadly, it seems there's a sinister motive for bringing back Kane with a mask... :( http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/246483-why-kane-returned-with-a-mask-troops-show-attendance It's being reported that one of the reasons why Kane returned at Raw last night wearing a mask is because, as we have been reporting, WWE wants to set a new Guinness World Record for the most amount of costume masks worn at one time at an event. WWE is looking to set the record at WrestleMania 28, and the current record was set in May of 2011 at an MLB game between The Los Angeles Angels and The Chicago White Sox. The event saw 27,080 fans all wearing lucha libre masks for a ten minute period. Rumour's going around that it'll be a combination of Kane and Rey Mysterio masks. At the moment though, it looks like Mysterio won't be competing at WrestleMania, and despite Sin Cara's injury, he is determined to compete at WrestleMania, even though he won't be 100% by then. MightyJordan
WWE Superstar John Cena is now on the front of a Fruity Pebbles cereal boxes it would appear after an online photo leak. The nickname 'fruity pebble' was given to Cena by The Rock some months ago. The promotion on the box is advertising a chance to win WWE tickets and Cena merchandise when purchasing the cereal. http://www.wrestling...es-Cereal-Boxes Seems everything The Rock says comes true!
calimike
SMACKDOWN ON XBOX Bill John reporting. ... The Xbox 360 updated their software a week or so ago and added a ton of new features including new apps. While these apps are very limited still, SyFy is one of those apps. With it, you can watch videos of their shows, including SmackDown. The videos are only a 1:00-1:30 minutes long, but they are available to watch, and seem to be highlights of matches from the previous week. http://www.pwinsider...n-xbox.html?p=

MightyJordan
Ooh, forgot to post this one too while I was on CM Punk's Twitter. :p Two Indy schmucks didn't do so bad, Eh? And from Daniel Bryan's blog: Six years ago CM Punk and I wrestled a 45 minute match in Florida in front of probably 36 people. It?s fun watching us pretend to be superstars when we?re really just a couple of Indy schmucks.

MightyJordan
Just read this from the dirt sheets: "Alberto Del Rio's personal ring announcer Ricardo Rodriguez has been receiving praise backstage for his performance at the 2011 WWE TLC pay-per-view event after falling off of a ladder through a table." In case you haven't seen it... I must say I'm glad Ricardo's getting some praise backstage, because I really wanna see him wrestle in WWE. :) He's actually pretty talented, and deserves a push of his own! Yorak
I think it is hilarious that I am in much better shape than Ricardo Rodriguez. Why do you think he is wearing a one-piece? Because his flabby gut would be hanging out. And Brodus Clay is just another obese monster that happens to move slightly faster than the other big guys, mostly because he is younger. MightyJordan
Bad news from the SmackDown! tapings: Randy Orton has picked up a major injury. Randy Orton was injured at last night's SmackDown tapings in Indianapolis during the Falls Count Anywhere main event against Wade Barrett. Orton has been removed from this week's live events. Word backstage was that Orton suffered some sort of back injury according to PWInsider.com. We are learning that the injury has to do with at least one of the discs in his back. Orton could miss up to 6 months of in-ring time, causing him to miss WrestleMania 28. We will bring you more information with more details on injury and recovery time as the week goes on. Expect Sheamus to get a bigger push now.
MightyJordan
OK, WWE have confirmed at the latest SmackDown! house show that Randy Orton is definitely out for six months. Just in case anyone on here comes across it, a breaking news story popped up about half an hour ago saying that Randy Orton had actually violated the wellness policy for the third time (which would be he would get fired). It's a fake news story; Randy Orton is legitimately injured.
MightyJordan
OK, one month of inactivity, a lot's happened over the past month, and the Royal Rumble is tonight, so might be a good time to try reviving the thread. :) Who's everyone's prediction to win the Royal Rumble match? Jericho's the obvious choice to win, but I'd prefer if it wasn't him, or Randy Orton, or Sheamus, or someone else predictable. Maybe Drew McIntyre? Could be the perfect rebound for him after loss after loss on SmackDown. And anyone got any legends/past superstars they wanna see make an appearance. Goldust is an obvious one for me after his appearance a couple of weeks ago. Maybe the Road Dogg too. God knows why, but I've heard a rumour going around about Matt Hardy possibly appearing, which considering his recent history, I'd take with a mountain of salt, let alone a pinch.
