episode
Why does everyone assume that since The Rock said he would appear at WM next year, that he will be in a match? That is one hell of a leap. He was at WM last year too, when he took up 30 minutes of the event for no reason. He will lose this year, he won't be competing next year. Write it down. TheElite
I know one thing for certain though, Undertaker is going to win. Shawn Michaels is the guest referee and the way this is going to go down is as follows: Shawn Michaels is not happy with what Triple-H said to him and Triple-H is not happy with what the Undertaker said to him about Shawn Michaels being better than him so now, since both of these men have an ego to protect, Shaun Michaels is going to give the win to Taker just because he will never allow Triple H to do what he couldn't do - Beat Taker. Mark my words, This is what's going to happen. You just watch. Words marked.
htcz
The Rock ain't gonna lose. Period. Though I suspect we might see a surprising ending. Like a count out or a disqualification, but I am 100% sure that they will not let him lose in his own hometown, in his first match in many years. The Rock has been in the WWE soooo long that he has no problem losing at the biggest event of the year in his hometown. That shows how professional he is. It is a torch passing. Nothing more nothing else.
MightyJordan
Wow, so much talk about the Rock/Cena match. I can't really decide on who I think will win; all I'll say for now is I bet the match will involve The Miz in some capacity, looking back in recent weeks. He's been constantly tweeting the #GiveMizAMatch hashtag, and he also keeps mentioning how he won the main event last year, saying that means he should be in this year's main event. At the moment, I have a feeling that Cena will be on the verge of beating The Rock, then Miz interferes and takes Cena out, either causing a DQ, or leaving The Rock to pick up the victory. I guess it depends on how Vince McMahon feels on the day, as it's known now that despite most of his backstage duties being handed over to Triple H, he's solely in charge of WrestleMania this year, and the reason why we don't have so many matches announced yet is because he still can't make his mind up; the dirtsheets are saying he's pretty much changing his mind every day. One thing's almost for sure though; there won't be a Money in the Bank match at WrestleMania this year like previously planned. That's being pushed back to its own PPV again in July. This is apparently because they had Wade Barrett booked to win it, but then this happened... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NwkUMH6gFq4 BTW, why is Neowin suddenly automatically embedding YouTube videos when I post them as regular links? :pinch: Oh, another surprising bit of news, they're actually trying to get both Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara fit in time for WrestleMania, mostly so they can try and break the world record for most people wearing masks (I'm not making that up; that was actually one of the main reasons they brought Kane back with a mask). Personally, I reckon they'll be fit enough to make an appearance, but they won't be fit enough to compete; if WWE's article on Sin Cara's injury is still correct, then he won't be back in action until May at the earliest. As for Rey, he's not on good terms backstage at the moment, due to frustrations with his contract negotiations, plus the fact that he's taking longer than expect to come back from injury (he was due to be ready by February, by bear in mind it's the 6th time he's had surgery on his knees now). So yeah, I'd bank on appearances only.
MightyJordan
Hmm, seems I might be wrong about Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara... From F4WOnline.com (via WrestleZone.com) According to F4WOnline.com, the following are the current rumored team member line-ups for the Laurinaitis vs Long WrestleMania 28 12 man tag team match: Team Laurinaitis: David Otunga (confirmed) Mark Henry (confirmed) Jack Swagger Christian Dolph Ziggler Alberto Del Rio Team Long: Santino Marella (confirmed) R-Truth Kofi Kingston Rey Mysterio Sin Cara Other names being considered are Brodus Clay, The Great Khali, Evan Bourne, or Ezekiel Jackson. Bit of a p*ss take though if Zack Ryder's not included in the match, especially as he's started campaigning for it now on his latest episode of "Z! True Long Island Story". I think the guy most at fault there is Big Show. Not for throwing him out but for tossing Dolph out which hit Barrett and might have injured him. The video shows one of the refs with a X so it problably is serious. I did not know it was serious (dislocated elbow); This explains the (stupid and sudden) Orton vs Kane storyline. That just came out of nowhere. Hmm, seems I might be wrong about Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara... Scar
Haven't watched WWE since Backlash 2003 Rock vs Goldberg. This Wrestlemania is worth ordering as I seriously despise Cena ever since his debut and my all-time favorite Rock is actually fighting him, that's a dream match. Even though I feel Rock will lose to the scumbag of all people, I'm just glad to watch him perform again and will be glad to support. Maybe, just MAYBE, Rock will win this. Love how WWE is hyping this match and how unpredictable the result is, hope it's just a final result without any of the DQs and other nonsense. 3. THE ROCK IS GOING TO LOSE AT WRESTLEMANIA. Period. If you think otherwise, you might as well stop watching now. Him winning the match serves no purpose whatsoever. Putting him over Cena (the face of the company) does not help the WWE. When they have 'celebrities win WM matches, they always beat heels. The WWE has refused to turn Cena heel, although he will be treated like one in Miami. Cena will win. Could he somehow win dirty? It is possible, I could see him cheating to win and turning heel in the process. The only way I could see The Rock win was if they had Zack Ryder cost Cena the match because of what happened with Eve, Kane, Cena and Ryder. But thats obviously not going to happen now. Sad but true. I'm still going to watch regardless, my first WWE event for 8 years and last. Rock losing to that piece of crap is pretty much the death of WWE for me(been a hardcore fan since I was a kid), permanently.

Mark my words, This is what's going to happen. You just watch. I also thought that first but if that is planned, shawn has to screw HHH in the match which would lead to HHH-shawn rivalry and that is very unlikely to happen as shawn can't wrestle now, not because he is retired but because he is physically unable to wrestle. Another tough call indeed.

Good thinking, but it will never happen because it is wrestlemania, a quality wwe product in which matched have results. And this match is special in its kind. So one thing I am sure about is that we will gonna have a winner and a loser without any outside interference. Even if Miz interferes, the match will be ruined. WrestleMania will then be flop. MightyJordan
I can see Kane (Laurinaitis) and Orton (Long) being thrown in there instead of one of the teams listed (their storyline is way too stupid to deserve a match by itself.) I would have agreed with you there before I watched SmackDown earlier, as their match was made official then. BTW, considering how frequently changes are made nowadays, I'm betting in Laurinaitis' team, Swagger won't be in the final lineup, as there's rumours floating around now that he'll be feuding with Evan Bourne (yes, he's still hired at the moment) for the United States title, which sadly would mean he'll win it back from Santino. :( If that happens, then I'd say Swagger would be replaced on the team by Drew McIntyre; actually, I'm surprised he hasn't been announced in the team yet, as he's been caught up between the two GMs, what with Teddy Long "firing" him, and then Johnny Ace "rehiring" him. Ooh, on SmackDown, Teddy Long mentioned that McIntyre is now signed onto a one-year "no cut" contract. I'd love to see if he's actually still in the WWE one year from now. :p

MightyJordan
Oh hey, found this surprising piece of news just now... FCW closing its doors for good in three weeks' time After WWE's partnership with OVW fell through a few years back, they opted to open a new developmental territory of their own entitled Florida Championship Wrestling, or FCW for short. However, in a few weeks time, that no longer looks to be the case. The following is from a recent report, as sourced from Lordsofpain.net: WWE officials notified Bright House Network Monday that they have opted to cease their relationship with the network as they are shutting down Florida Championship Wrestling effective immediately. Florida Championship Wrestling programming, which was taped last Thursday in Tampa, Florida, will cease to air on the network in three weeks.Everyone involved with Florida Championship will move to WWE's homebase in Stamford, Connecticut for the time being until a further decision regarding the developmental program is made. WWE employees were given the impression that a developmental promotion will ultimately open in Connecticut with the possibility of a second at an undetermined location. Seeing how successful FCW has been since its start back in 2007 by launching the careers of Sheamus, Dolph Ziggler and many others, this comes as a great shock. The report doesn't exactly state the reasoning why WWE looks to end FCW so abruptly, but one can only imagine it may have something to do with the pending WWE Network. I'm eager to see how WWE deals with the handful of talent they have in Tampa, whether they are brought up to television immediately or are left on the sidelines for the foreseeable future. Definitely a shock, as FCW's raised some great talent in recent years. AJ, Brodus Clay, Dolph Ziggler, Evan Bourne, Hunico, The Usos, Alberto Del Rio, Primo and Epico, Jack Swagger, Kofi Kingston, Natalya, Sheamus, Wade Barrett, Drew McIntyre, the list just goes on (but don't mention Alicia Fox or The Bella Twins :p ).
