In a last-minute effort to boost viewership of tonight’s Night of Champions event, World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) matchmakers have added Seth Rollins to every bout.

Rollins was already scheduled to compete in two matches — one against John Cena, the other against rookie sensation Sting — which would have been a tall order in itself.

But WWE executive Hunter Hearst Helmsley announced at a press conference this morning that, in keeping with “what’s best for business,” the Night of Champions card has been thus revised:

  • Neville and The Lucha Dragons (with Seth Rollins portraying Sin Cara) against Stardust and The Ascension
  • Seth Rollins vs. John Cena for the Divas Championship
  • Seth Rollins vs. Sting for the WCW Television Title
  • Seth Rollins vs. Nikki Bella vs. Charlotte in a triple-threat lingerie pillow fight
  • The Shield vs. The Wyatt Family
  • Seth Rollins vs. Rusev (with special guest referee Dolph Ziggler)
  • The New Day (with Seth Rollins on trombone and Xavier Woods on xylophone) vs. Bubba Ray Rollins and Devon Rollins
  • Seth Rollins vs. Seth Rollins for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship

WWE fans worldwide are expected to call the event “awesome,” and then clap five times in a syncopated rhythm.

WWE just ran a promo during the WWE Night of Champions PPV show advertising Brock Lesnar’s “Go To Hell Tour”.

A voiceover featuring Paul Heyman plugged Lesnar’s WWE MSG live special appearance, and also announced he would be next month’s “Stone Cold Podcast” guest.

Finally, Heyman said Lesnar will be making his in-ring return at WWE Hell In A Cell against the Undertaker in their “rubber match” after facing each other at Wrestlemania 30 and this year’s Summerslam.

Well, not happy with the PPV last night.  Heels were booked way strong all night, and 3 titles changed hands, but only after the heel beat on the face most of the match.  Charlotte was a bada$$ on NXT, but against Nikki, seems all she did was lay and cry.  Sting may have gotten legit hurt, but nothing on WWE about that yet.  Overall, disappointing.

Still nothing from WWE, but something from Dave Meltzer...

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer is reporting Sting suffered a serious neck injury during the main event of last night’s WWE Night Of Champions pay-per-view.

According to reports, Sting suffered a legitimate and “significant” neck injury, but not much else is known at this point.

It was originally thought that Sting was injured after he was powerbombed into the turnbuckles by WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins during the title match. Sting’s head was seen snapping back during the spot; he was later checked on by the ringside doctor, then Rollins ended up rolling him up as part of the planned finish.

*snipped*

I'm seeing a few people say that it was NXT referee (and former indy wrestler) Drake Wuertz, but I'm not so sure, because the right arm tattoos look different.

So since Rollins is making a habit of hurting people a la - Sting, Cena...when are they gonna take the belt off him...its apparent hes cant take care of the face of the company nor a legend. If he just put Sting on the shelf for good i'm gonna hate him for ages...maybe im just being a salty Sting fan but the guy already lost to HHH in his first match and his only true win has been in a damn tag match...If Vince and HHH were planning on ruining Sting they managed to do it rather quickly.

Update on Sting from his official Facebook page...

"As many of you may already know, Sting is undergoing treatment for the injuries he sustained in last night’s match with Seth Rollins. Doctors will continue to evaluate his condition, but he is a man of remarkable health and resiliency, especially at his age and with all he’s endured throughout his stellar career. Therefore, we are optimistic he will have a speedy recovery and return to full health soon. Sting has kept his body in excellent shape, due largely to the guidance he’s received from his personal trainer Jeff Cavaliere (ATHLEAN-X), and we trust this will prove beneficial to the recovery process. As a side note, we later learned the greatest damage to his body took place before the match was over, but being the true professional he is and among the hardest workers to ever step foot in the ring, he insisted to see the match through to the end." -Steve Martinez

An absolute professional who stood by his morals for quite some time, and has always put younger talent over...

I'm sure he speaks highly of you too!

Doesn't mean he was ever a good performer. There are plenty of 'nice guys' in the business. Doesn't make them not suck.

No, but he has been pretty much universally liked by both fans and "smarks".  Still, my definition of what "sucks" won't be defined by someone who types "_____ sucks" on a forum...

PWInsider.com is reporting the fan who jumped the rail and entered the ring at last Sunday’s WWE Night of Champions pay-per-view is facing jail time after pleading guilty to charges brought against him for the incident.

Oscar Ramirez, 37, of Houston, Texas, was charged with criminal tresspassing with no forced entry; he will face ten days in jail, lighter than the 1.5 years he could have faced if the case went to trial.

It was previously reported that WWE is looking into cracking down on fan incidents at live events, and want to issue harsher penalties for offenders, including criminal charges. Previously, WWE would usually issue lifetime bans from live events when fans entered the ring or left the seating area and hopped the barricade.
