Man, never thought I'd see Dixie Carter of all people on a WWE Network special - unless WWE either bought TNA or bought their tape library and wanted to interview her for XXXX etc. Still, interesting to see what might be happening down the road.

And that sucks about AA. I kinda figured it might be because he was pigeonholed to 205 Live, and we all know he can wrestle with the best of them. No matter their size.

What a crazy 24 hours it's been over there. Actually, not even that; all of that happened in the space of four hours!

This deserves a mention, too...

On the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that WWE is stating that they released Austin Aries and that it wasn't Aries that asked for his release. Meltzer noted that while he was told that Aries did not asked to be released, he was thrilled when he was. Aries had signed a three-year deal early last year, so if Aries had quit on his own, WWE could have held him to that and he wouldn't have been able to wrestle until early 2019.

Aries had been unhappy backstage and Meltzer noted that he was upset that his pre-show match with Neville at WrestleMania 33 was not included on the DVD, so neither wrestler received any royalties from it.

As previously reported, Aries reportedly had some heat backstage. Meltzer said that a lot of people, including the writing team, did not like him.

Aries has a standard 90 non-compete, and will be paid his downside during that period. He will be be able to work independent shows during that period that WWE approves of. He will be eligible to wrestle anywhere else - like NJPW or GFW - in early October.

Current GFW Global champ Alberto El Patron is reportedly under investigation in Florida for a domestic violence incident that took place at the airport.

According to reports, Orlando PD was called around 3pm on Sunday after ADR allegedly got physical with an unnamed female in a “domestic violence battery” situation.

The statement from police says, “There was an incident at Orlando International Airport at about 3 p.m. Sunday involving Jose Rodriguez (DOB 5/25/1977) The reported incident was a domestic violence battery, and it is still under investigation. No arrests have been made as of this time, but the case remains open. That is all the information we have for release at this time.”

Police did not confirm the name of the victim, however, he was reportedly with Paige at the airport.

Wow, Del Rio seems like a straight up douche bag. I sincerely hope if something happened and he hit/whatever Paige, that she beats the living ###### out of him. And I NEVER wish harm or stuff like that on anyone. He just seems like a complete ######. :(

Paige has tweeted about the incident, but it looks like she's downplaying it somewhat.

And GFW's said they're conducting their own investigation before deciding his future with them: http://www.prowrestlingsheet.com/alberto-el-patron-gfw-statement/#.WWQAbogrKUk

^^ What he said. And as others have already said on here, Alberto's a ######## scumbag. If GFW knows what's best for them, they'll release him soon, even though they just made him their world champion and already taped their next six weeks of shows.
