FWIW, Sean Ross Sapp - one of the better wrestling journalists - is saying it didn't happen as planned.

Spoiler

Yeah I read those, but personally feel it was as scripted as the rest of the show.

Well, going by what they did on RAW it looks like that womens main event was just a botch pin that they'd rather you forget.  They're going right into the next story with Becky.  Well, at least for one of the belts?  Are they going to have her keep both for a while? are they going to just unify them and have one WWE womens champ going forward?

Personally I'd rather they have one title for both the guys and girls, and let it float between the two shows. Heck, the guys have so many titles, WWE champ, IC, US, UK etc.  I think it's time to drop the two WWE raw/sd titles and just have one WWE champ and introduce a womens IC title.  Let everything float between RAW and SD.  WIth SD going to a new network it would make for a very better rivalry and interesting show if the men and women from both shows fought over one title in my opinion.

Not sure how many of you are old wrestling fans like me, but VICE did a really good mini-doc on what happened to Bruiser Brody in Puerto Rico in the late 80s. Its an unreal, dark story, for an unreal and dark job. Be aware, there is some cursing so it may not be SFW completely.

Yeah its to bad the IWC will "celebrate" her being out of action for awhile. They sure do love to hate her. Shame of it all, she's gotten much better with this heel run than before (imo) and while she isn't some great wrestling master of course, she has improved and she deserves  some modicum of respect.  But she'll never get it from the rabid IWC fans.

Looks like lots of people want to go to AEW.

Yeah, and it's not just wrestlers, either.

I won't spoil it here, but it's at 6:54 in the video; not a signing (yet), but still a surprising appearance.

I was sleeping on The Road to Double or Nothing series for a while, but it's where they're making most of their signing and some match announcements, so worth keeping an eye on.

So wait, Dustin is Cody's opponent at Double or Nothing? Uh I ah thought that Dustin/Goldust was still a WWE employee? Even if he isn't anymore, unless Dustin is still in great shape (which he was in his last major run) what kind of match would he be able to pull off with his brother on a major stage like this? I mean I'm sure he can still go in the ring and all, but Cody went from wrestling Jericho and the top guys over in NJPW and ROH, to headlining his own PPV/company against his brother? And no offense to Dustin, I've loved him for decades now and I think he's an amazing (and under appreciated) talent. But is he main event material, especially at this point in his career?

Don't know either but it makes for one heck of a story line.

I don't think it'll be the main event; it'll probably be somewhere in the middle, like Cody's NWA title match with Nick Aldus was at All In. Main event will probably be either Omega/Jericho or Young Bucks/Lucha Bros.

Well true, but I meant more in general as a high profile kinda match. Is Dustin Runnels an actual draw in 2019 more or less. Also according to everything I've looked at online so far, he's still signed with WWE, just on hiatus because of the double knee surgery he had recently. So, Vince gave him permission to work AEW? I doubt it very much.

Well, he's been moved to the alumni section...

They've got too much talent in WWE and they hardly do anything with most of them.  Why wouldn't they want to leave now that they have another option?  My hope, or want, is that with smackdown going to another network they can scrap whatever nonsense creative, if you can call them that, has going and start fresh.  Get more people in the mix and make some compelling stuff like the old days.   They can play up a bigger RAW vs SD war as well.  They really need to get back to basics and stop coming up with stupid stuff.
