Well, this week's RAW was crap. Only two good bits throughout: Beth Phoenix becoming the #1 contender for the Divas' Championship, and Santino Marella sporting his cobra glove. :p

One good bit from the crowd; the four people holding up the four signs for R-Truth: "YOU GON GET GOT". :p But at the very end of the show, where Cena and Punk was trading pops (and entrance music) for a while, there were more people cheering for Cena!

Oh BTW, anyone see the botch in the finish of the tag title match? Served Otunga and McGillicutty right for having a terrible finishing move like that. Zack Ryder ended up kicking Otunga in the head, but obviously, he no-sold and pinned Ryder for the win. On one side, it's a botch; on another side, it could be Zack Ryder thinking "Why the hell am I jobbing to these two?"

Just saw on WWE's Facebook page:

WWE has come to terms on the release of Vladimir Kozlov, Melina, Chris Masters and DH Smith as of today, August 5, 2011. WWE wishes them all the best in all of their future endeavors.

OK, place your bets; which ones will go to TNA? :p

Melina is shocking considering her relationship with John Morrison.

Wonder if he'll be next.

Masters is also sort of surprising since supposedly he's really good with teaching the young guys.

Kozlov and DH Smith, eh, they've been misused so good luck to them.

i don't think TNA would want any of them, except for possibly DH Smith, who could fit into the X-Division

Gail: they've already dealt with her.

Melina: I could really see John Morrison being released if Melina were to sign with TNA.

Masters: yea, TNA has enough junkies.

Kozlov: I can't see him fitting in anywhere.

Melina is shocking considering her relationship with John Morrison.

so, she shouldn't have been fired because she was sleeping with Morrison?

And Gail Kim quit on Monday apparently.

BIG YAWN!

Kozlov was sad to hear. He was misused horribly. Wade Barrett is going down the same path. Both of them were immediately put in main event status, then knocked down to being on Superstars and never heard from again.

It just proves they don't care much about Morrison to worry enough if he would quit or not. If they were worried about keeping him, they would have found something for her to do.

BIG YAWN!

Yeah, who cares if shes one of the few that can actually wrestle, she doesn't have big enough ######.

Oh FFS. :( That's another talented Diva gone from WWE.

I just found out that Gail Kim eliminated herself in the battle royal last week; slid under the bottom rope. And just before her, Melina did a similar thing. She bent down on one knee while the match was starting and just let someone push her out. Gail said she was ordered to get out of the match in a minute, so she "decided to do it in half a minute".

OK, saw SmackDown! yesterday, and Sin Cara "returned", but it wasn't Luis Ignascio Urive Alvirde. In actuality, it was Jorge Arias, who actually used the M?stico name before Alvirde over in AAA, but CMLL won the legal battle for the "M?stico" name, so he ended up changing his name to "Incognito".

Oh, and uhh, Cody Rhodes won the IC Title from Ezekiel Jackson. Sorry, but that was necessary. :p

Now that's out of the way, SummerSlam...

It's a pretty slim and underwhelming card. Only five matches.

I'm expecting a sixth match to be done on the night; most likely with The Miz, as he was complaining on RAW about not having an opponent for SS. Probably a bit similar to this moment:

Only without any titles on the line, and no injured opponents, so not at all similar :p

Anyway, prediction for the current card:

Daniel Bryan vs. Wade Barrett: Most likely will end in the LeBell Lock. I really don't want to see Barrett win, especially with

It's like a CAW from the SmackDown! vs. RAW games come to life.

Sheamus vs. Mark Henry: This should be the night when Sheamus finally gets put over as a face. Reaction was a little bit mixed on SmackDown! this week, so this match should should convert the few others.

Kelly Kelly © vs. Beth Phoenix - Divas Championship: Would be a complete waste of time if they build Beth up like that and then have her fall at the last hurdle, especially when she deserves another title reign.

Christian © vs. Randy Orton - World Heavyweight Championship - No Holds Barred match: No-brainer this one. Can't see any way Christian can weasel his way out of this one with the title; he's got no real allies, and Orton doesn't really have any other current enemies. It'll probably be a bit like the I Quit match back at Over the Edge this year, only with no SuperCena comeback from Christian.

CM Punk (real c) vs. John Cena (fake c) - Undisputed WWE Championship - Triple H as special guest referee: Obviously, I really want CM Punk to win, but I fear Cena's gonna win, now that Triple H is refereeing. He'll probably end up screwing Punk, and that would pave the way for the rumoured CM Punk vs. Triple H feud at Survivor Series.

Well, I only got 2/5 predictions right, but at least they were both the world title matches. :p

Holy **** the end of this PPV was a cluster****.

Indeed it was. First Triple H screwed Cena out of his fake title (which was a lovely turn of events :) ) and CM Punk wins the undisputed title, then all of a sudden...

KEVIN FREAKING NASH!!! (with dyed hair now to hide all the greys)

:o :o :o

And then Alberto Del Rio cashes in his MITB briefcase, and he's the new WWE Champion!

RAW's gonna be rather interesting...

Who's pulling Nash's strings? Stephanie? Vince? HHH? ADR?

I wasn't really thinking too much about that, until I look at JR's twitter, and saw a poll on WWE's Facebook. WWE asks "do you think Triple H knew Kevin Nash was going to appear?", and JR mentions the Kliq on his Twitter page:

Kevin Nash shocker! What's up w/ that? Kliq strikes again? Another agenda? Will we know why on Raw? It beats me.

Also, Kevin Nash has tweeted:

Rumor has it a tall, dark haired dude is going to be on Raw tonight. You better watch. He has a tendency to disappear for months.

^ WTF!

Anyway, it looks like the whining little "yabba dabba bitch" is gonna face ADR for the title at Night of Champions. Or more likely, a triple threat match with CM Punk added in.

Speaking of Mr. Fruity Pebbles, I learnt over the weekend that the husband to one of my cousins is a big John Cena fan. So I am definitely buying the CM Punk shirt now and wearing it the next time I see him!

Oh, R-Truth's got a theme again!

And I'll end on another video: the monumental botch from Jack Swagger!

I thought CM Punk was gold on the mic against Kevin Nash

"You like to see the text I got from my sister? She says 'OMG...WTF...I thought Kevin Nash was dead...LOL' "

That really put a smile on my face....The creative team should just let CM Punk have the mic for 1.5 hours every show. It will be a sellout at every areana....

Speaking of which, I saw a WrestleZone article about the angle earlier:

For those of you looking for answers to the Nash/Punk/HHH/Steph/etc. storyline, you clearly didn't get them on tonight's edition of Raw. The story I'm getting is that it was very chaotic backstage at Raw tonight and decisions weren't made until last minute.

One source told me that the CM Punk/Kevin Nash promo was very unscripted. "Those two were working without a net out there," the source said, "and the jabs they took at each other were not planned beforehand."

The lack of resolve in the "Who texted Kevin Nash?" story is because WWE still hasn't solidified the direction they're going to take yet. "They have five ways they can go with this thing," said a WWE writer, "and it's still unclear which one they're going to choose." As I reported yesterday, WWE never intended on Del Rio to be the one who "hired" Kevin Nash. The obvious options now are Triple H, Stephanie, Johnny Ace and Vince, but WWE has proven that they don't always go with the clear choice with things like this, so no one will ever know for sure until it's finally in the books.

There's still no word on Kevin Nash's contract situation and whether he's agreed to (or even been offered) a new deal now that he's back on television. Kevin Nash is currently signed to a "Legends" contract. I would imagine something new will be worked out very soon as tonight's Raw was a very good indication that he's not going anywhere anytime soon. I've received a few emails about Nash being booked on some future independent shows and while he may or may not pull out of those, there have not been reports of him doing so yet.

Nash is planned to be at a local indie show at the end of Sept. He just signed too, at a point where I would figure he knew WWE was going to use him. Hopefully he doesn't pull out.

I consider Lauranitis and Vince to be on the same page, storyline wise, so you're down to just a couple options as to who 'hired' him. Steph, HHH, Vince & Johnny Ace. Since ADR is out. HHH doesn't make sense. He was in the ring, he would have done it himself, no?

I guess it could have been the mouse.

Some good news from this week's RAW: They're merging the two brands together "for the forseeable future". :)

Oh, and a nice swerve at the end of the show. First, Kevin Nash (now with his own theme ((an edited version of the

)) and titantron) vs. CM Punk is booked for Night of Champions, and then right at the end, it's cancelled and replaced with Triple H vs. CM Punk. So the rumours were right, it's just happening two months earlier than predicted. :p

BTW, Dolph Ziggler had a blinder of a match against Randy Orton! Looks like he's finally starting to prove himself.

Well, SuperSmackDown was quite the flop, wasn't it? The only notable moments of the show were the Divas of Doom (Natalya and Beth Phoenix) rightly defeating the barbie dolls (Kelly Kelly and Alicia Fox), Triple H and Kevin Nash getting into a shoving match, and Sin Cara (Hunico, not M?stico) almost certainly turned heel by kicking Daniel Bryan after defeating him. Oh, and Sheamus has my sympathy for being forced to carry that giant lump of epic fail known as The Great Khali (and Jinder Mahal) this week.

Speaking of Sin Cara, it seems like they're probably gonna have both Hunico and M?stico fighting each other, both as Sin Cara, similar to the "Kane vs. Fake Kane" angle a few years ago. Let's be honest, if they don't end up doing that, then this storyline is gonna be a complete waste of time, as the Sin Cara character has been pretty much falling flat on its face for the past few weeks. Well, not in the kids' eyes; they love it to death, but both M?stico and Hunico are still not up to the WWE's standards, making botches in every match so far. It got so bad on last week's SmackDown with Hunico against Heath Slater that the match was re-taped! Bizarrely, they used Hunico for both matches, even though M?stico was in the arena and ready to compete.

Oh, and apparently, there was a TV ad on in America saying that Triple H was going to wrestle on next week's RAW. Uh oh. :p They're not handling this storyline too well, but to be honest, there hasn't been much else they could do with this storyline, as Kevin Nash failed his physical. If he was fit to compete, then Triple H vs. CM Punk would have almost certainly been booked for Survivor Series instead, as that's their last big PPV of the year (the big ones are the Royal Rumble ((January)), WrestleMania ((March/April)), SummerSlam ((August)), and Survivor Series ((November))), but because of Kevin Nash's lack of fitness (no surprises there), they've been forced to do the match much earlier and on a low-key PPV, Night of Champions (on the bright side, that'll probably boost the buy rate slightly).

Oh well, it could have been worse; they could have brought Scott Hall back. Now that would have been a disaster. :p

Ooh, one more thing. The downward spiral of Matt Hardy continues:

WWE Bans Talent from Having Any Involvement with Matt Hardy on Twitter

It seems WWE are going out of their way to completely to cut ties with deeply troubled ex-employee Matt Hardy after the recent string of embarrassing incidents involving the wrestling star in the last week. Dave Meltzer notes in the week's Wrestling Observer Newsletter (dated September 5th) that management has even banned wrestlers on the roster from interacting at all with Hardy on Twitter, for fear of anyone from WWE getting dragged into a potentially embarrassing situation:

WWE talent has been told not to have any twitter contact with Matt Hardy. They don?t want to have any involvement in any embarrassing Matt Hardy story going forward.

Likely due to this, wrestlers in WWE kept quiet about the recent drama with Matt leaving a fake suicide note on his Youtube account and needlessly scaring many fans, as well as people in the industry who were scrambling to contact him shortly after the message went up.

Matt himself later acknowledged to be "one last attention grabber" aimed at garnering attention for his "rebirth" (by the way, how many "rebirths" has this guy had? I've lost count).

The video with the text in question has since been taken down, either by Youtube or Matt, after he realized how furious everyone was with him.

Indeed, it was only announcer Jim Ross (whom likely gets cut some slack on account of being a well-respected veteran with the company) who spoke publicly on the matter, slamming Hardy for his deeply destructive and attention-seeking behaviour:

Matt Hardy fiasco totally embarrassing & inexplicable. Alleged suicide you tube got him noticed...sadly in absurd way. Matt, seek answers.

Aside from the normal situation of WWE not wanting its wrestlers tangled up in any messy situations, we should also remember that Linda McMahon is considered a dead cert by many in political circles to be running for the senate in her home state of Connecticut again next year, therefore the company will want to avoid as many potential scandals as possible. Although with an emotionally unbalanced ex-employee like Matt running around and willing to talk to anyone who will listen, that may be impossible.
