Adobe PhotoShop CS3 Trial?

Question

Ok, ever since cs3 has came out, I have downloaded the trial, and everytime it fails to start. It installs fine, so I click it to get it working and it loads and says

"A problem encountered while trying to load the trial period for Adobe Photoshop Cs3.

Click quit to see if restarting your computer or reintalling the software fixes this problem. Otherwise click continue to display a screen where you can etner a vaild serial number"

Did they stop trials?

Ahh so if I used the same email to download the trial again it would do what its doing then?

It doesn't track through your e-mail. I downloaded the Adobe Photoshop CS3 trial twice (finally bought it afterwards) using the same e-mail and same Adobe account to download it two separate times spaced by about 6 months.

Take a look at everyone else who's experiencing the same problem:

There doesn't seem to be a solution.

But to offer my honest and unbiased opinion based on my own experience with PS CS3, I believe it's worth buying. Especially if you don't already have PS CS2. It's stable and now I use it on a daily basis =).

Are there any other good photo editing programs that I could look into that are like photoshop? That are free?

Well, there's the The Gimp. The learning curve is a bit steep, but it is the most fully-featured photo-editing app out there.

There is also Paint.net, which has less features but is easier to use.

Thanks! I was trying to remember the name of the one (The Gimp) but couldnt think of it. I'll give that a try with Paint.net
