SVG Veteran Posted March 18, 2008 Veteran Share Posted March 18, 2008 I recently installed Quake 3 thru wine on ubuntu gutsy and it also installed mplayer.com client alongwith it.. I removed the mplayer.com client but the application listing in the main menu is still there.. Can anyone tell me any way to remove it from there? Foub
Right click on the "start" button and choose Edit Menus, then go to the section you want and again right click on the listing you want and click on delete. Linux isn't like Windows with a registry.... Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/626184-wine-app-removal-issue/#findComment-589278747 Share on other sites

"It" refers to the process, not Ubuntu.. Of course I'm doing it manually not expecting the computer to do it by itself.. Anyway cut it.. i purge removed Wine, cleared the .wine folder in home and its done.. Thanks anyway Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/626184-wine-app-removal-issue/#findComment-589279405 Share on other sites
