Main-event winner and new WAMMA heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko earned a base salary of $300,000 for his first-round submission victory over Tim Sylvia, who earned $800,000.

MMAjunkie.com today received the list of salaries from the California State Athletic Commission. The event took place this past Saturday at the Honda Center in Anaheim.

In addition to the headliners, other top earners included Andrei Arlovski ($750,000), Matt Lindland ($300,000) and Josh Barnett ($300,000), who helped create a staggering $3,332,100 payroll.

I've been writing for a few MMA websites and national publications for quite some time in my part-time blogging career, and the word on the street is that Fedor received some huge bonuses under the table, as well as a chunk of PPV revenue. He'll likely make over a million dollars in this fight.

Fedor is an amazing fighter and one of my favorites since PRIDE. The rumors circulating about him coming into this fight not at 100% surely couldn't have been true. His physique actually looked a bit better than I had imagined, although he's always had the look of a softy until he explodes with the striking.

Plain and simple, Fedor remains the most unbeatable fighter in mixed martial arts. Quickness, speed, agility, power striking alongside his unreal transitioning skills on the ground make him the ultimate finishing machine. I imagine he'll retain the top spot as a heavyweight for quite some time.

Arlovski wasn't spectacular, but his standup was amazing. He showed speed and power, and it's obvious that it's improved. He was still useless on the floor, and it's surprising considering he used to be a junior Sambo champ in Russia.
