Sebaz Vista
In XP I always used to add the delete file or folder icon to the toolbar. The new toolbar in Vista, while a lot prettier, doesn't allow this or any other customization. Has anybody come up with a hack for this? Quillz
I don't think it can be added, but isn't it arguably just as simple to right-click delete or drag to the Recycle Bin? Doli
Recycle Bin? You can move it to your Favorite links and drag and drop files there but why waste the time just press the delete key or Shift+delete to delete the files without it going to the recycle bin Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/631010-i-want-a-delete-button/#findComment-589328942 Share on other sites

david
Yeah, I forgot about the delete key. Oddly enough, I don't use it that often. I use it alot just because i like using the shift delete to perm delete my explicit content :) Delete key = useful :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/631010-i-want-a-delete-button/#findComment-589328958 Share on other sites
Sebaz Vista
Sure, I can use the delete button, choose delete from the Organize menu, or other methods. But I just liked the simplicity of the delete button on the toolbar, that's all. I just want a "New Folder" button. :( Same here. You're expected to use the drop-down. Would be nice if you could customize the toolbar a bit more in Vista, but, oh well. Probably even easier than clicking a new folder button on the toolbar, dont have to move your mouse as far. Marcel T
Funny, I would've thought QTTabBar + FileTools plugin pack would have been posted in this thread already, it's what you use to tweak up Explorer in XP or Vista if you don't wan't to go as far as a new shell. Making an interface more efficient for your own workflow seems to be lost on some people. random_n
right click, new > folder. Is it really that hard? When you're using details view, and with full line highlighting being mandatory in Vista, it really can be aggravating at times. :( That said, I have no idea how I missed the contents under the organize button (had been using Alt->File->New->New Folder all this time). Thanks! :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/631010-i-want-a-delete-button/#findComment-589330129 Share on other sites
