Sure, I can use the delete button, choose delete from the Organize menu, or other methods. But I just liked the simplicity of the delete button on the toolbar, that's all.

Ah, I see. Well, Microsoft disagrees with you, and I guess they expect you to use the "Organize" drop-down.

I just want a "New Folder" button. :(

Same here. You're expected to use the drop-down. Would be nice if you could customize the toolbar a bit more in Vista, but, oh well.

right click, new > folder. Is it really that hard? Probably even easier than clicking a new folder button on the toolbar, dont have to move your mouse as far.

Funny, I would've thought QTTabBar + FileTools plugin pack would have been posted in this thread already, it's what you use to tweak up Explorer in XP or Vista if you don't wan't to go as far as a new shell. Making an interface more efficient for your own workflow seems to be lost on some people.

When you're using details view, and with full line highlighting being mandatory in Vista, it really can be aggravating at times. :(

That said, I have no idea how I missed the contents under the organize button (had been using Alt->File->New->New Folder all this time). Thanks! :)

Why dont you dont display half the useless columns so you have some empty space to the right you can right click on?
