cyberkilla
Absolutely brilliant! I registered just to thank you too:) I hope I'm not repeating someone else, but this thing should not be an extension! It should be part of Firefox 3! What they have at the moment offends my eyes;) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/632112-ext-glasser-10-alpha/page/2/#findComment-589344696 Share on other sites
Gott
andy_rose said: Since I am on Vista 64 bit, what will I benefit from using Firefox 64 bit? Less memory usage, better\faster performance? No, x64 applications will actually use about more memory than their x86 counterparts (but this is also mostly true for x86 running on an x64 OS so no real change there.) You will not see any kind of performance increase either. At least not more than you would see with other unofficial PGO optimized builds made to benefit from SSE-extensions of current x86 CPUs. And Firefox 3 will make these mostly superfluous as well. So there is basically no benefit from running an x64 build of Firefox. But there are significant drawbacks like the lack of just about any 64-bit version of all common plugins like Flash or even Java. So no benefits, but lots of hassle ... so if you are a masochist, by all means, go for it. ;) This is a little different for 64bit versions of Linux but you didn't ask that. Pharos
6XGate, you are my hero! This is simply amazing! I have been waiting for this for so long, I am so glad you did it... Have been running for one day with no problems whatsoever, using this with Carl Booth's black theme, along the Safari-like loading bar ("Fission" extension but with a Vista theme) . I am NOT touching Internet Explorer EVER AGAIN! Ronin Achilles
Is there a reason why the Menu Bar is differently styled? i.e. why can't the menu bar also be glassed; coz if that is done, we will no need to use any other extension to hide it.
