zivan56
Some bugs I have noticed: Video overlay is very messed up; for example, DVBViewer will not change the size of an overlay and dragging anything over it erases that part. After changing channels a couple of times, it displays a music icon and says the tv station has no video Flight Simulator X crashes when clicking anything under "File" while flying. BSOD when resuming from standby So I had to uninstall it, which fixed all the issues. I didn't test it for long, as it was getting on my nerve. KamiQuazi
Here is the English Version Direct from MS Servers. Windows XP SP3 Download Thanks Glenn9999, From MSFN.org Since we're posting links now, I might as well post this information about the file:CRC32: C411A9DA MD5: BB25707C919DD835A9D9706B5725AF58 SHA1: C81472F7EEEA2ECA421E116CD4C03E2300EBFDE4 Filename: windowsxp-kb936929-sp3-x86-enu_c81472f7eeea2eca421e116cd4c03e2300ebfde4.exe Piece of trivia I just noticed. All the gobbledy-gook in the file name that was posted is the SHA-1 of the file. So I guess that's Microsoft's favored validation scheme. Scirwode
I've only just finished formatting and setting up my Windows XP. As it has only just been released, nLite and RVM has quite a few problems with slipstreaming SP3, among others a corrupt install when you add addon packs or remove features such as MSN Explorer and such. It practically disabled the Security Center and made my notebook slow so it was a bit frustrating. Took me 3 days to get everything set up just right with IE7 and WMP11 giving me the biggest problems. But I've managed to slipstream everything I wanted plus removed a few unneeded features so I'm pleased with it. For those of you who want to slipstream and format, I advise you to wait until nLite and the rest of the slipstreaming tools are compatible with SP3. Now I'm off to catch up on my games :p ! KamiQuazi
I really haven't had a problem with it. I'm using 1.4.5 beta 2 and i have slipstreamed sp3 (over sp2) with drivers and WMP11. I didn't remove anything, like you have.

Addon packs and such create havoc with WMI, disabling it completely. My advice still stands by the way :p ! I'm glad your Windows installation is fine. Yochanan
You folks do realize nLite is doing nothing new to slipstream. You can do it yourself without any 3rd-party software. Copy your XP CD to a folder somewhere, and run: servicepack filename /integrate:drive\path (i.e.; xpsp3.exe /integrate:c:\xp) Then you have to make it bootable using Microsoft Corporation.img found in your XP folder. Scirwode
That doesn't include the built-in slipstreaming tools in windows XP (extracting and integrating the SP), does it? No, that's fine and is what I did to slipstream SP3. A bit more of a hassle, but it's much better than a bunked installation. Scirwode

Yochanan
Done It`s BB25707C919DD835A9D9706B5725AF58 Thanks Good, now make sure it matches. It's only posted 14 times around here somewhere. Asking questions that are already answered in a forum is like showing up late to class asking the teacher go over everything you've missed. At least in a forum all you have to do is read, you can't lose. I realized it. But slipstreaming in nLite is far easier. I don't like to make things more difficult then they need to be. It is far easier, indeed. I was directing that statement at the folks shying away from it since it's still in beta. All I've used the latest beta for is slipstreaming SP3 into my SP2 CD. I'll wait until it's final to make a custom CD. Edited May 1, 2008 by Yochanan
