majortom1981
Have you tried using gpedit.msc to see if it was disabled on the computers group policy?

Raa
Yes, it's a policy problem, gpedit may not show you the issue But if you do a regedit and search for policies, there will be entries that lock the settings out (Y)

Typhon
I still could not resolve the issue. I have looked all over the net and found nothing. I guess a fresh install on XP will work.

I got this from the net: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_w.htm http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits...paperenable.reg http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits...aperdisable.reg I have a feeling that it may not have been done properly. [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\ActiveDesktop] "NoChangingWallPaper"=dword:00000001 This shouldn't be set to 1.
