Dazzla Veteran Posted February 5, 2003 Veteran Share Posted February 5, 2003 All these Apple releases were getting to me, I was tempted to buy another Mac but I've resisted for now, instead channeling my Apple fever to skinning :D First WMP skin, freeform skinning is a bit different to what I'm used to but it's not too bad, tempted to give Winamp 3 a try now. I've completed the Graphite one, tweaking it as I go and it's 99.9% done. I'm waiting on a single image, the pause button mouseover, then I can up it for download. Once I can get the Aqua images I'll make an aqua version as well. It's just the mini mode of iTunes cause that's all I ever used on my Mac, I'll get stuck in and see if I can mimic the whole thing. Tim pointed out 3 skins by this guy on wincustomize who made kick ass iTunes skins which put mine to shame frankly. Here's the Download if you wanna have a peek but I suggest you download all three of these: Long iTunes Short iTunes Mini iTunes These really are quality! So at least I've finally got around to start learning free form skinning which is what the point of this was so I can go onto better skins now :D Which reminds me, I've got loads and loads of resources from some kick ass Audion skins on CD... In OS X there's Aqua and Graphite. I made this skin in Graphite cause I didn't think there was an iTunes skin for WMP9. After I finished, I showed Tim and he showed me these better ones. For starters, the aqua ones have vsualisations. The text also looks better as well, although that wouldn't take long to change. It wasn't as if I took this skin and desaturated it, I made it from scratch. I was trying to learn how to make free form skins, like the ones used in WMP9 and Winamp 3, this was mainly a learning exercise for me to see how it all works.
