VidER
Turkey definitely has what it takes to defeat Germany. But unfortunately Turkey lost the efforts of 10 players. The situation is bad. Imagine the third Goal keeper was trained to play as either a Goal Keeper or a Striker depending on the Coach's needs during the match. So lets hope that the Turkish Spirit covers the lack of players! brentaal
I know this is late but I really wish Holland won :( Me too... Throughout the 90 mins I still had some hope... but once the extra time started they hadn't changed the playstyle a single bit... they really didn't deserve to win against Russia Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/641781-euro-2008/page/45/#findComment-589508825 Share on other sites

Arda82
Well. before today's incredible game. i advise you guys take a look at this article. http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=750519 a quote from that article Turkey are not only short of players, they are short of their match-winners; Emre - the captain, Nihat Kahveci, the vice-captain and Arda Turan, the bright young hope of Turkish football, to name just three. If they should upset the odds and defeat the Germans, it would mark one of the most remarkable team victories of all time, in any sport. Imagine the Chicago Bulls completing their historic mid-nineties NBA three-peat without Michael Jordan, Scott Pippen and Dennis Rodman; Brazil winning the World Cup in 1970 without Pele, Jairzinho, Tostao and Carlos Alberto; in a word, unlikely. Kralik
Andrei Arshavin is just great!I hope that he joins Manchester United if Ronaldo left to Real Madrid! VidER hahaha.. hes going to Barca.. his dream club.. if not then Spain.. if no BIG club in Spain bids for him hes coming to EPL.. but not Man U mate.. Manu U are too busy trying to keep Ronaldo.. mean while Arsenal are going for him ;) and Wenger is not not holding back on praise he has for the guy... "I wish I'd seem him at 21 or 22. I predict he will come to the Premier League (means he is going for him), or go to a big club in Italy. The way he plays is something very special." said Wenger AGAIN today  So you keep fighting for Ronaldo, Man U.. we will get Arshavin and build our attack force :p Arsene.. Andrei Arshavin.. Arsenal FC.. The A-team Imagine the Chicago Bulls completing their historic mid-nineties NBA three-peat without Michael Jordan, Scott Pippen and Dennis Rodman; Brazil winning the World Cup in 1970 without Pele, Jairzinho, Tostao and Carlos Alberto; in a word, unlikely. Kralik
maybe so, but you still won't win the league Why are you so sure about that? We came within 5 points of it last time.. this time it ours.. Man Utds days are over with Ronaldo gone.. this year is Arsenal.. the young guns know now what they did wrong last time.. this year.. we are not repeating the mistakes.. Nasri is almost here.. Ramsey prefered us to Man utd.. Ben Arfa and Arshavin might join soon.. with Eduardo coing back and van Persie/Cesc in good form.. we will show you this year what beautiful football is.. watch everyone.. and learn Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/641781-euro-2008/page/45/#findComment-589509120 Share on other sites
Arda82
Arsenal has always been a great time and joy to watch. However i can never have much fun watching chelsea but they seem to be more succesful in the latest years. Arsene Wenger is a gem to have... By the way, Ben Arfa is signing for Marseille. Arhsavin is more like wishful thinking, and you don't need him when you have Nasri, they are similar players. I doubt Arsenal will challenge next season, but I did say that last season and you raped the league in the early months. The problem is, your squad has only weakened since then, and in general your manager is too stubborn to spend money and bring in more quality players to improve your strength in depth. L3thal Veteran Posted June 25, 2008 Veteran Share Posted June 25, 2008 Good start for Turkey so far. If Germany plays like they played their group games, they won't get past Turkey that easily and may end up losing it.
