I'm starting to think you say rubbish like this purposely just to start fights on the internet. His feet weren't touched, what he fell over because the mighty Chielini's feet created a gust of wind 2 metres away? He got the ball (Villa), moved it back and fell over because he saw the opportunity. The ****** deserved the yellow.

:s

do you even know which position i am talking about?

Lousy game thanks to a sub-par, lazy Italian team.

Team Italy strategy (time-tested):

Bore everyone to death by sustained defensive play, sit back and wait for penalty shots.

Except it doesn't always work against teams that are always on the attack, play with heart, and actually make an effort.

and when did liverpool ever played in a game with 14 people.. 11 starting and 3 subs with 1 being a goalkeeper in 1 game?

at a semi final?

where liverpool could promote young players to play in the competition but turkey can not invite more players?

Suspensions are there for a reason, to promote dicipline. Is it our fault that your players keep on picking up needless yellow cards? Is it out fault your keeper idiotically lashed out at an opposition player late on in a game?

Suck it up and deal with the consequences.

This is giving the 2006 World Cup thread a run for its money, and I know me and L3thal definitely remember that.

Anyway, another interesting point, Turkey has been in the lead of a game for only two minutes in the whole of Euro 2008. Deserved semi finalists ;)?

How can I forget? :p

Turkey has spent more minutes making substitutions than being in the lead all tournament. Shows how "dominant" they are in this tourney. Having said that, I am rooting for Turkey against Germany because the Germans beat Portugal (bastards :p)

its a nice statistic to have, but i dont see it as being a weak point. To me one could infer that the team takes some time to settle down, and despite the odds are able to overcome it for a win.

No, Marty. The ref's house was built by a Portuguese so he made sure Portugal won the game.

Oh, and it was also a conspiracy that Portugal's 3 balls to the woodwork did not go in. Can you imagine a 5-0 victory over Turkey? Impossible, because Turkey are so good.
