The dudes in the pidgin team said this was on their low priority list... :-\

Call me what you want, but this is the very reason why I don't use Pidgin.

Yep. I've said it before, am forced to use official clients as file transfers suck in all third party messengers.

File transfers still work though, they may not be the fastest but they work.

It'll be fixed in time though.

On AIM, I'm getting up to 200Kb/s when I receive the file from someone, probably because of the limit of the other person's connection. If I'm talking to someone from campus, it can get up to 10Mb/s :D

On Yahoo, I was sending someone a file at 150Kb/s.

You have to keep in mind the limitation could be with the person you're talking to, or it could be your connection. What kind of speeds are you guys getting?
