Pep Guardiola wants to avoid Arsenal in the Champions League quarter-final draw if possible because he believes that the Premier League side play the most similar football to Barcelona, according to a report from Sport.

The Blaugrana chief thinks that his team's tactics work best when facing teams that are setup differently because they can play around them and cause surprises.

But the Gunners have a similar philosophy and that could see the Catalan side unable to reproduce their best form in the last eight of the elite European competition, Sport state.

Well.. so i guess the will to avoid each other is mutual

Can't wait for the upcoming banter between gregb0b and Martyn come CL day :p

Liverpool for the win, Gerrard possibly for top scorer. The way that we destroyed Real Madrid gives me a lot of confidence that we are in the driving seat at the moment. Lets just hope the international break doesn't diminish the reds' remarkable form.

 That was close!!!! but we got the away goal and now its easier for us to win at Emirates!! and btw what a goal it was :o

Man Utd is in trouble again :p gave away 2 away goals.. they can beat Porto 2-0 in the second leg but you never know..

Oh and good luck tomorrow the Reds!!! :bounce:

Err not quite.... that'd be 4-3 to United, away goals only count if it's the aggregate score is a draw. United only need a 1-0 to go through.

Yeah.. my maths went wrong for a minute there..

or was it wishful thinking?

anyways I realised it was wrong as soon as I read it again and deleted it from my post..

and the cute lil shirts with Robinho 'Number TBC' written on the back..

Oh man!! That is weak!! They actually have to beg the supporters to come to matches and support the team?!

Hmm, not sure I agree with that entirely, they had some flashes of good forward play, but their defense still looked a bit suspect to me. My gut feeling is that the weight of games that they are playing is just taking its toll on them.

You're right. We played well at some parts, but we lost the ball so many times at one point I thought we was watching a Division 1 team, it was ridiculous.

Was it just me, or was the referee a complete and utter retard? There were so many times he should have stopped play, and a couple of times when it should have been a penalty, and yet we get completely and utterly robbed. FC Porto were playing pretty dirty at times IMO. Not looking forward to Portugal if they're going to be playing like that.

2-2 is not a good result. 48 hours after a difficult game against Villa it was more than tough. But we ain't down yet, we can manage to win at Porto (or draw at least 3-3). We really need some rest if we want to play every competition and win something.

I'm not sure the referee was that bad, some decisions weren't take but nothing that can change the result.
