39 Thieves
I like it but not being able to scroll up is a killer. Maybe when it's been improved! Uh...what?
vanacid
Does this mean if I upload a photo to Neowin, Google has also received a copy of that photo, and can do what they want with it? no, not at all. If you want to take reading lessons, you should start with something easier than a legal license. I say this because it seems you can't understand what you are reading. splicer707
Wow I'm very impressed for the first beta. Give me a spell checker and Adblock and I'll switch to this! +1 It's amazingly great for a first beta release. You are right, a spell checked and ad-blocking and I'll switch to it. Just one other thing, can anyone figure out how RSS feeds are supported?
Julius Caro
I dont get the EULA. Do they track and record EVERYTHING that we do with the browser? Like this post I'm posting? That would require no end of bandwidth. I mean, they already have all my emails and my calendars, but at least that's on THEIR servers. And *almost* everything that is displayed on the browser is "public" on the internet. What are "the services"?

PNWDweller
OK - Here is a good EULA reader for their agreement. Highlights some of the basic and extended data Line for line. EULA Analyzer Done
Ryan Versaw
You are right, a spell checked and ad-blocking and I'll switch to it. Spell checking works in my version, did you try? I notice that it doesn't appear to do anything in search boxes, but it works fine elsewhere (like right here). Auto-scroll not working is one of my major annoyances. alisalem
The speed on this thing is amazing thanks to Apple WebKit I assume? Does it have RSS feeds?
splicer707
@ cowwithoutbrain Right. I do have spell checking. Maybe because I wasn't making spelling mistakes, I didn't realize it was there. Silly me.
Julius Caro
The terms say that they are the "universal" terms for google services, and almost every clause is superseded by any specific term any of those terms would have.

CPressland
Right, so I just installed this on my cousins computer as I like to see what the whole family think of a product. He complained about the spell check over MSN to me, it went something like this "Oi m8 evary wored i tipe en dis fing az rad lines innit" I wonder why..... LMFAO, yes he's a Chav... splicer707
One major thing going for Chrome. It loads all the sites that IE8 Beta 2 can't. Without any rendering bugger up's.

+M2Ys4U Subscriber¹ Posted September 2, 2008 Subscriber¹ Share Posted September 2, 2008 The loading time on gmail is amazing. It's faster than firefox 3.1. I kinda expected that though. I can only scroll down with my touchpad, not up. That's a pretty annoying bug. Finally got sunspider running....or not. Ditto, really annoying. Okay so I can't be assed reading this whole topic...Will this browser support addons like Firefox? Not yet. They're plannign to add an extension API at a later date Uh...what? Ey? What do you mean you can't scroll up?! With my laptop's touchpad. It's really annoying.
Slimy
Just one other thing, can anyone figure out how RSS feeds are supported? They're not supported yet. A lot of basic features are missing, but those that are there are damn good.
