YouAgain87
Really like the speed and the interface. Shame it doesn't support extensions like FF3. The speed at which pages load are great. I hope Firefox improves as much.

Rappy Veteran Posted September 5, 2008 Veteran Share Posted September 5, 2008 I have to admit I have stopped using it, back to FF nothing against Chrome but I am so used to FF and its wims and ways. It's the UI shell that decides how to handle file downloads. WebKit is just a rendering engine. I wouldn't be surprised that something like zdnet was too stupid to tell the difference, but neowin really should do better. Hopefully you won't need them either! Maybe it will be fully featured like Opera  Somehow I highly doubt it. Google is a web service company, not a browser vendor like Opera and Mozilla, nor an OS vendor like Microsoft, I bet they'd want all those features in the "cloud", instead of on the client side. Why integrate mail reader and RSS reader into the client, when you have gmail and google reader?

08993
Yeah the update has fixed the :% thing. I have to say that I am loving Chrome, I use a Hosts file and Homer to serve up images to replace blocked content instead of ad-block and I am a happy bunny. What is interesting is just how many ppl are hesitant to do away with ad-block, it must be a real eye opener to Google and will give them something to think about. I disable adblock on neowin because it has unobtrusive ads, but so many sites these days have like 1/5 of the page as content and the rest all ****ing flash ads it's ridiculous I just can't stand it.
