According to Bob McCown and Jim Kelley of the Fan590/Rogers Sportsnet in Toronto, the New York Rangers have signed Mats Sundin. To clear cap room for Sundin, the Rangers are going to offload some players to the Dallas Stars in return for a player to be named later, which will ultimately be Sean Avery.

So there, the Sundin saga is finally over...about time.

Well, they're wrong, he hasn't signed there yet.

No, everything I've heard from TSN (ESPN) is that he will sign with Vancouver, I've heard reports JP Barry is meeting with Gillis and Sundin and they expect to sign him soon.

It's mostly speculation until he is actually signed.

I still have hope after all these months that I will finally see Sundin in a Vancouver uniform. I have a gut feeling that he will come to Vancouver, and I hope that this gut feeling comes true :D

To be honest, if Luongo comes back and we have Sundin upfront, there's no stopping us. ;)

Gaborik in a Canuck uniform? I just don't see that happening... and there is no way the Canucks will spend money on a over-rated player like Gomez. IMO atleast... :p

Thursday is the big day, hopefully Sundin heads to the westcoast, and I can order a jersey :p
