digipoi
OMG Raul should retire already. I'm pretty sure they are building Abraham up for a showdown with Pavlik should he win against Hopkins. PPP = Pay Per Poo? Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/677314-abraham-vs-marquez/#findComment-589909434 Share on other sites
Rappy Veteran Posted October 4, 2008 Author Veteran Share Posted October 4, 2008 IBF middleweight champion Arthur Abraham's mandatory defense against Raul Marquez has been postponed after King Arthur woke up today with a fever, swollen lymph nodes and the typical complaints of a cold. He was immediately brought to the Erlangen University Hospital where ring physician Dr. Walter Wagner and a local specialist diagnosed a flu virus. The sad consequence is tonight's entire card has been postponed until November 8th. "I am incredibly sorry for my fans," said Abraham. "I wanted to fight, but in this physical condition, I can't climb into the ring. The doctors have forbidden me." Trainer Ulli Wegner added, "There is no way he can make a mandatory title defense in his current state. It is a pity but there is nothing we can do. I am very sorry for the fans. We'll try to get Arthur healthy again as soon as possible and will prepare him for the fight on November 8." Tickets for tonight's postponed card at the Jako Arena in Bamberg, Germany will be valid for the new date.
