davjak
I just got my hands on a Gigabyte GA-5AA mobo to replace my old vxpro board. but under win98/win98se/winnt4/win2k I cannot get very good connections to my ISP. (I know its old - but this machine does run pretty schweet - It will be a gift to my nephew when I upgrade by the end of the year) I did try the modem on another machine and it does work fine on my other PC. I was just wondering if anyone might have a suggestion or 2 as things I can check/try. I think I've tried everything I can. I've even emailed my retarded ISP and they told me to untick every option under the sun. Offcourse they know nothing and I could no longer send files via dcc/email/ftp * I have tried both F6 F7b and the orig BIOS that was installed on it aswell.. F7b changed the default COM2 setting to 2f8h which it definately did not like. changing to its 3feh setting stated in the manual made things a lot better.. Please Heeeeeelp :china: Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/689-com-port-problems/ Share on other sites
