Hey all,

Hows it going? I have a XFX Nvidia 8500GT Alpha dog edition, I wanted to know how I can overclock my GPU? I don't want to go into the extremes, but just basic overclocking, that can be noticed in game performance, etc. I don't have any additional cooling in my cabinet, except for 2 basic fans.

Would the GPU over heat with normal overclocking? What software can I use to check the temperatures and whether it is actually worth doing it?

Thanks,

Sibot

you can use Rivatuner for overclocking and temp monitering purposes useful , personally you wouldnt see sigecent gain ocing this card since it bottlnecked by design

(a low ended card)

Mods kindly move the thread to Hardware hangout!

Hey,

The GPU Temp is at 64-65 degrees, is it okay to overclock or will it lead to over heating? The current settings are as such -

To what clock speed should I change the settings to? I went to Driver settings and then selected system settings.

Thanks,

Sibot
