Even more demanding than Crysis. Look at the Quad Core CPU recommendation. Maybe this is going to be GTA's last PC port. :( My PC's the 'recommended' system, except with just 2 GB of RAM on Vista and a 8800 GT.But geez. Can someone say poor optimization... if the quality of graphics is anything to go by in previous GTA games. :/ I take it neither of you have seen any screenshots of GTAIV... the graphics are VASTLY improved. If memory is a real issue then they have a problem with 32Bit then haven't they? Afterall, 2GB is the 32bit limitation for an application (4GB for the entire system). I can see games pushing for 64Bit more than OEM companies to be honest. But anyways, compared to the Xbox360 and the PS3, the GPU/CPU requirements aren't a shocker. Aye I know this, but we all know that 'Recommended' system requirements are just as bad as minimal requirements. Many times I've played games and my system has been on the 'Recommended' requirements or slightly above it and I could still only play it on average settings and so on. I thought GTA IV would be around the same as Crysis' requirements because of all the stuff that's going on at one time (pedestrian interaction, traffic, improved draw distance, graphics, etc). It's the closest simulation to a living city today AFAIK. You can't compare a GeForce 8600 with a Radeon HD 3870. I won't even say anything about the CPU requirements. Anyway, from what I've read the game already looks better than the console version. I also read that it should run alright on a 3 year old system. Looking forward to GTA IV on PC should be pretty good me thinks.
