berdusco
Hello everyone, first let me say I've only used a mac for about two months now, so my terminology might not be great. this morning I turned on my mac, fired up iTunes and Safari, and started working away. By default, when I received my macbook, there were keyboard shortcuts built in (i've become accustomed to them). Anyway, for whatever reason, most of them got deleted. Other ones, such as spaces and dashboard, were changed to other buttons that had previous functions. I tried using the application Quicksilver, but it didn't quite get back to the way it is. So far, I've been able to returned, almost every shortcut back to normal with the exception of: Previous Track, Pause/Play, Next Track for iTunes (previously F7,F8, and F9 respectively). Mute, Lower Volume, Increase Volume for system (previously F10, F11, and F12 respectively). Brighten Screen and Dim Screen (Previously F2 and F1 respectively). Any help on fixing this would be greatly appreciated. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/690772-keyboard-shortcuts/ Share on other sites
Guest jgrodri
If I had my mac with me i could tell you exactly... This shortcuts can be configured from system preferences. Just go there and look around, I 100% guarantee you'll find it there. look for and option that says "keyboard shortcuts" in any of the panes. MasterC
Make sure "Use all F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" is unchecked in System Preferences. Not sure how that box ended up ticked but it's good now.
