Outlook 2007 inbox font question

I have question about how to setup Outlook 2007's view of the Inbox.

When you open a message, it will change the font from bold to non-bold to distiguish them from each other. My problem is, they're still too similar for my tastes.

How do I change the font size/type/color in the inbox list view to make the 'read' and 'unread' messages stand out from each other better?

I went in and tried that, but that doesn't seem to do what I meant... unless i'm missing it. I changed a few settings, but it didn't do what i needed.

here's an example. The read and unread messages are almost the same, I want them to stand apart a lot...

Sorry, try:

View, Current View, Customise Current View, Automatic Formatting...

Select Unread Messages from the list and then click the font button to change the font, size, style and colour.
