Rappy Veteran Posted November 23, 2008 Veteran Share Posted November 23, 2008 The Oscars of course are a little way off but today the film studios have started to release their "For Your Consideration" posters where they look to the judges to put them in the category and here they are! Victor Rambo
The Dark Knight, Kung Fu Panda, In Bruges.etc I think these movies will definitely get oscar. :p Draconian Guppy and The Evil Overlord 2 Share
sanctified Veteran Posted November 24, 2008 Veteran Share Posted November 24, 2008 An intelligent Hollywood would give the oscar for best pictures to either Gus Van Sant's or Charlie Kaufman`s efforts. But again, there is no such thing as an intelligent Hollywood. Hopefully at least TDK will get something.

Dev Null Zen
Burn After Reading was a damn good movie. And personally, I didn't feel TDK lived up to the hype. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't legendary.

bjoswald
I haven't seen The Dark Knight yet, but from what I've heard, it's one of the best movies in years. Probably one of the best Batman movies ever (excluding the original, because Michael Keaton *is* Batman). Disappointed to see the new Bond up there, but that's only because I don't like the new guy. Pierce Brosnan was a lot more suave to me.
Victor Rambo
The Dark Knight is a very good movie. You can call it the best superhero movie ever made. I liked action , story, acting, joker character.etc but still i think it didn't live up to the hype. :( The Evil Overlord and Draconian Guppy 2 Share

sanctified Veteran Posted December 7, 2008 Veteran Share Posted December 7, 2008 You've seen those two films? How good are they, especially Synecdoche, New York. Both are great and smart, typical Vant Sant's and Kauffman. However I will reserve my opinions until I see The Wrestler, many people have told me its Aronofsky's best to date, and thats a lot to say. rajputwarrior
If eother wall-e or batman win the best picture award I will be sad about hollywood (again) why the hate on wall-e? i love the fact that the two main characters were able to interact by only saying eachothers name, it was genious.
