All knew slumdog will win the oscar for best picture and Ledger for best supporting actor in TDK. Julius Caro Posted February 23, 2009 Share Posted February 23, 2009 Still shocked that Slumdog won so many, I normally really like Danny Boyle's work, but thought this movie was boring. It was not at all what everyone had hyped it to be. Ah well at least they conceded to public demand and ensured that Heath got his. I felt the same. The movie was boring. Good 'overall' story but boring. It definitely did not deserve the best picture oscar. IMO dark knight, iron man or wall-e deserve it a lot more than slumdog. I watched Slumdog yesterday and I thought although it was good, its not 8 Oscars good. I mean it was predictable and there isn't as much emotional substance as I thought it would be, everyone has high praise for it but when I watched it it was just not to my expectations. It's a snorfest. It gets better in the end, but if I had watched it "minus hype" I never would have thought of it as oscar material. Wall-e for best picture!
