The unique style, humor and fusion of hip hop makes it one of the wonders of anime to watch. There are plenty of anime masterpieces that have come out in the past few years but it has been overshadowed by Naruto, Bleach and other marketable Pokemon type anime. :p I would hardly call it a masterpiece it was good but not in the vault of awesomeness good. Unlike Appleseed, Ex Machina's quality is consistent.The plot is the normal action flick fanfare and being directed by John Woo ensures plenty of fantastic fights. However, I do have to dock off 2 points for dramatized voice acting and occasional cheesy cliches. 8/10; an exceptional example of how far CGI has come. Watching Spice and Wolf Season 1 in HD was amazing! I hope the story came to a good close. It was only one of the few anime series that had a consistently mature feel to it. Naruto looks promising, with a huge battle about to start again. The Naruto anime was just top notch. They really did Jariya's tale very well.
