[Official] Anime/Manga Thread

^Exactly. It seem as if they make new versions of the previous released movie by adding extra footage for a DVD version. Pretty neat though because then you'd want to buy the X.XX DVD even though you've seen version X in theaters.

Also, I've just seen the latest episode of FMA:B and lots of things happened. I'm guessing that Alphonse has actually regained his own body which is why he's not in his armor. The ending of the episode was also pretty insane with Mustang being at the end of his rope, unable to lose even more people he loves. Though his one option of saving the one who protected his back for so long is a cruel option. Dreadful things are bound to happen in the next episode.

I honestly can't imagine how this anime is going to turn out. Which is a good thing as it'll keep surprising us with each episode that comes out (Y) :D

I'm having a hard time remembering if this is how the Manga went at this part as well, but I just don't really remember the original Homonculi looking all blobby and having hohenhiem trapped like that....

About alphonse, if they are still sticking with the manga, hes not gone just yet, but if you have read the latest manga *cries*

It was an OK episode for me, not great - mainly because of Rukia's fight taking up a good chunk of the episode.

Nodame Cantabile. An anime series that bases itself on the scenes from the manga and accompanied with great snippets of classical music. However, I am VERY surprised that they don't show Nodame and Chiaki's relationship. It's simply passed off like some cheap, josei romance instead of fulfilling, satisfying ending that both have after enduring a lot of personal struggles and decisions. I'm tempted to give this a 6.5/10 for brushing the "serious" side of the manga but I have to give it an 8 because it's one of the only mature twenty something love stories that have a lot of intelligence and talent backing each character unlike the horrific wrecks of sudden illness/death/drama/accident/suicide/pregnancy in every shoujo, josei and seinen manga. Hurray for Nodame Cantabile!

Fun note: The OP and ED of the second and third season are pathetic compared to the first season's.

Strong opinion: Nodame Cantabile >>>>>> Honey and Clover any day of the week. It's rare for a guy like to enjoy a romance show that doesn't castrate the men and make them eunuchs and mother lovers like in H&C. That anime series was more of a wet dream of some naive, young girl who enjoys harems while acting insecure with bishoujo characters chasing after psycho women.

They should have shown Chiaki proposing and his struggle with his life decisions because of his lack of a central father figure! The anime series cut off more than 500 manga pages worth of material to squash everything into 11 episodes and two OVA's. Hehe, if this series portrayed the realistic outcome of Chiaki and Nodame, Chiaki would be a divorced playboy by the age of 40, more akin to his father and Streismann. MUKYA!

Bleach is the Dragon Ball of the 00's.

what?! Dragon Ball would drag fight scenes on for 3 episodes until....o wait....its the same.

Rukia never should have gotten her powers back...worst shinigami ever.... "My plan was to draw you away from me the whole time blabablblablablblablabla.... a frozen tree bears no fruit" ..... worst.

You have achieved Shounen anime nirvana. XD I think Dragon Ball is better simply because it has men groaning in completely inappropriate ways in several languages, including Japanese.

Now go read One Piece and enjoy the thrilling ride. It has a more fluid story with a better cast and even better enemies. I read Bleach until chapter 250 something and was confused on how the male lead goes from nothing to suddenly appearing out of nowhere and stabbing a guy trying to hurt a girl on the edge of a cliff. It then made me even more confused when it started putting all the "good" guys in some weird fun house in the middle of a desert and battle completely random enemies that the mangaka was pulling from left field.

While watching Monster:

It's a well translated subtitle though because that is indeed what he says in the manga about one of the female characters.
