deletedxyz Posted March 25, 2010 Share Posted March 25, 2010 I just found out that Jin-Roh: Wolf Brigade is part of an epic called Kerberos (Cerberus) Saga. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kerberos_saga#Releases In 1999, the manga series was completed (Acts 5~8) and re-released as two compilation volumes. Few months later was released Jin-Roh (人狼, Jinrou) the anime adaptation of the first manga. It remains the franchise's most popular work outside Japan until today. The only reason I watched the anime series was because of Rok and his interaction with characters who are the complete opposite of him. Nothing beats the Balalaika arc. I never really checked into Jin-Roh's background but always had a feeling that it was just a fraction of a huge story that I did not know. @Masked Forever: Don't forget that Radish™ probably also shares a similar opinion about it :p I'm the minority when it comes to the drama genre and slice of life in this thread. I can count the number of anime series from those genres that I actually enjoyed on one hand. Gintama > Bleach and Naruto. It is the best shounen anime series in the past two years. The final episode was aired on March 25th.
