intermixed
I have 2 hard drives, and did have a normal 2k and XP dual boot enviroment. I have reinstalled XP and now am getting a message telling me that ""Windows 2000 could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM". I don't have a new enough registry backup to fix that so am going to format that partition and reinstall 2k, it's a 14 month old install so could do with removing anyway. Question: Will I be in installing 2k, I know that you 'should' install OS's in the order that they were released, i.e 2k should be put on before XP. Will the way I want to do it work ok? I have most of my data backup up on a 3rd HD so data loss is not really an issue, I just could do without installing everything for a 3rd time. Damn I need Norton Ghost 2003 ! thanks for any input people have :)
