Windows 7 Beta 1 Watermark & Send Feedback Remover

Recommended Posts

I installed the beta of Windows 7.

My personal experience so far is that Windows 7 is working faster and smoother than Vista. For me at least.

I installed Windows 7 on my iMac using Boot Camp. I had a problem that the bluetooth and speakers didnt install properly but after some manual driver updates i got it sorted and everything works.

I also found a link <snipped> to download a little program that will remove the build watermark and the send feedback button at the top of each windows which i found annoying. Enjoy!!!

Vista should show 4GB of RAM after SP1 has been installed, though really anyone with 4GB of RAM or more should be using the 64bit version.

You downloaded the 64bit version of Windows 7 or 32bit? If it's 32bit (like Vista with SP1) it's just showing the amount installed - not actually using the full 4GB.

Good find however on the remover :) (i actually like them being there though since i actually submit stuff but i'm sure some people will actually like it being gone)

I agree. It's a beta. Use it to submit problems so when Windows 7 goes RTM it has less problems!

I agree with removing the watermark, but I would not remove the feedback link. Providing feedback is a good thing. I want Windows 7 to be the best when it reaches RTM.

Right on. Now I am just waiting for a key or activator for 7000 so I can start giving feedback again.

You can alway use the "Send Feedback" icon in the All Programs menu.

i think the one on the Window actually captures a screenshot or systemstate when you click it though. The one on the desktop and start menu are just generic ones.

(I could be wrong however)
