Hi Everyone,

Earlier today Technet China has placed a link to Windows 7 Beta but it's not active yet, It was said that Microsoft will release the Beta sometime around 5th Jan US time, which it's only 4-5am in the morning.

http://technet.microsoft.com/zh-cn/evalcenter/default.aspx

Keep an eye on this page as it might be one of the first pages to make the link go live.

I know it's in Chinese but easy to navigate! Just convert the page using Google translator

So lets all keep a close eye on this baby :D

The 5th of Jan is looking promising. Or will it be 7th?

LOOKS LIKE 13th of JAN, CES 2009...we will all see the Beta release....You never know :)

...Wouldn't that technically make it a newer build? :p

Nope :)

Ever heard of Windows Update? ;)

I'm sure a build can just have an updated applied to it and I doubt they would make a whole new build just to apply a couple of updates (or even just the one 'MP3 issue' update).

Saying that, I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a new build number :)

I'm just speculating here. We'll have to wait and see what happens when it is officially announced :)

They did reserve a few build #'s between 7000 and 7004? Which starts the RC builds that they're working on. So we could very well see something like 7001 or 7002 maybe.

Only time will tell.
