Also where credit is due, the setup process managed to install drivers for my WIFI card on a Unibody MacBook Pro...that's a first. That's a real shocker. :huh: I was expecting a more complex method of distributing keys, but I guess they want everyone to just try it and give whatever input they can. And it begs the question why MS will cap the beta downloads at 2.5mm if they were going this route. I have not been invited this time... :(So I will wait and see if I can download the 64bit version on friday. Public download link will appear on: Windows 7 - Public Download It is on Connect for everyone who was initially invited to the beta. I was so I can download both x86 and x64 and have a serial for both. This is awesome. Now I have to wait though for Windows Server 2008 R2. Should be awesome. I want to test this on my main PC (All my documents are on seperate HDDs) and on an older PC, which still has XP sadly! I have the leaked x32 bit version which I have tested in Virtual PC, and will replace XP with, and am downloading the x64 bit one now, to test on my Main machine. My question is... Can I use my Vista Product ID Key for the Win7 build, or will I just have to wait till Friday? fishrman Posted January 8, 2009 Share Posted January 8, 2009 I don't know the precise situation with MSDN and TechNet, but for Connect, my understanding, as per other Windows betas on Connect, is that each user has an individual key. They wouldn't make you hit "Request Product Key", wait a few seconds, and get the key, if all users were assigned the same key.
