The install goes realy smooth. WAYY faster than Vista ever did for me, even faster than XP. All functions will be open without the key so waiting the 2 hours wont hurt. What will is when 2.5mill is up and we are SOL.

everybody will get a download even if its from a torrent. i bet half of us never get a key though so we will have to resort to other methods.

you're not doing it right, you shouldn't be getting a page.

Hold the horses! 1.3MB/sec :)

2.2!

Did you use DIGIX's link? Can you confirm it is not server 2008?

Where on the page do you click? When I go to the on for X86 there are 2 guys in the picture.

Well, I didn't actually click anywhere. I installed the FTM client in IE, then copy & pasted the download link from Firefox into IE's address bar. Went right to the download page and started the File Transfer Manager.

Heh, we don't need to read any further than that. CNET's reckless hatred and bias against Microsoft is well known. Any garbage about the problem not linked to demand is just that - garbage.

Go outside and play with the other children, CNET.

Why are some of you people posting at the end of this thread "The download is not available yet, I am afraid you are all wasting your time" when obviously if you READ THE FREAKING THREAD you can see that people are downloading it FROM MS.

Thank you drive thru.

They're probably referring to getting keys. Obviously you can download the files when their on the servers, but theres a difference between getting it directly and going through technet.
