my girlfriend is about to kill me and im still not getting this thing. i dont understand why some of you guys are getting it on the 5th refresh, im over 300 and still going. tried ie, chrome, and ff3

U r doing 64 right??? 32 only happens on miraculous occassions it seems. Though by now this should be working it's way around the web so pretty soon the servers are probably gonna crash again.

https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/pr...us/default.aspx

is the one im using and i keep getting the tech difficulties error

for those who missed the link or need the instructions

Step 1 : Logon to http://technet.microsoft.com (click on Sign in in the upper right corner)

Step 2 : Copy (Don?t CLICK IT!) one of the links below to the address bar and press enter :

32-Bit key : https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/sc...w&LCID=1033 (don?t click, Copy and Paste!)

64-bit key : https://www.microsoft.com/betaexperience/sc...w&LCID=1033 (don?t click, Copy and Paste!)

The 64bit key at the moment is the faster route and will work in a 32bit install.

step 3 - you will either get a page with the key on it or a technical difficulties page

Why trade? The 32bit key works in the 64bit version and vice versa.

Probably thinking too far ahead....but you know how the vista rc keys worked for the first few w7 milestones???? I dont want to just have a 64 bit key and then w8 comes out and i have a 32 bit operating system that it's not compatible with like it is w/ w7. Hey i think of everything what can i say.

So? Does anyone know if all the 2.5 Million keys have gone?

Thanks for your interest in the Windows 7 Beta. The volume has been phenomenal -- we?re in the process of adding more servers to handle the demand. We?re sorry for the delay and we?ll re-post the Beta as soon as we can ensure a quality download experience.

How would anyone here know that unless they worked at MS.

They're not gone as people are still getting them... People have just found the trick to get the keys... If you follow the instructions and get to the http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/ page, you've messed something up and might want to clear your temporary internet settings and stuff like that before you try again. Either following the blog post or neowin frontpage new news post will work

It takes some time for some people, while other people are lucky and get it really quickly
