Daza
and that'll refresh the page even if it has the key, and you'll miss it You may miss it today, but effectively when the page has generated your key and ties it to your Windows Live account, you've reserved your key. So, subsequent refreshes have no effect . When Microsoft have fixed things up, you'll receive the key that was generated previously, this may be through Technet or else where (already tested, tried accessing the key generation page with the same WL account and got the same key). scratch42069
64-bt version is running great here on my older test machine. It's running on an Athlon X2 3800+, 2GB of RAM and an 8600GT and it scores 4.9 in the Windows Experience Index. This machine scored 4.8 in Vista. I was able to install the Vista R2.14 Realtek HD Audio driver and it's working great too. So far I have no complaints with the OS at all. funktron
Yeah, in my limited time with it before work (and sans key, bLAH), it was a very nice experience from setup to installing various programs. Google Chrome didn't work for me at all tho. Lord Ba'al
Lord, you've got what's called - the luck. :-P Some of us have been trying for hours to no avail. Nah, they probably let me have it that easily because knew that Lord Ba'al can get very, very nasty otherwise  Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/717592-windows-7-official-public-beta/page/98/#findComment-590394622 Share on other sites

Silverskull
Well, they do have 2.5 million keys - one should think that it would last for a while, so don't fret. Since Microsoft is having trouble with this, I'd imagine the demand for these keys is extremely high. What I'm really worried about is people getting 10+ keys. I need one for my laptop and one for my desktop, but that's it, and I can just use my 2 main Live IDs for that. Gio Takahashi
Holy crap, I finally got my key. By the way, use "Check4change" plugin, seems to be better than reload every, and it will stop refreshing when you get the page you need. Hipnotik
One key will activate 10 systems. According to the Windows 7 FAQ, each key will only activate 3 systems. http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/beta-faq.aspxWhen you download the Beta you?ll be given a product key. (See Installing the Windows 7 Beta.) Be sure to use the product key to activate the Beta within 30 days, or the Beta?s functionality will be limited. Your product key will work for upthree separate computers, so if you want to install the Windows 7 Beta on another PC, you can re-use the same key. Silverskull
According to the Windows 7 FAQ, each key will only activate 3 systems. Huh. Thought it'd be similar to the way normal keys work, but I guess I missed that. It was 10 for the Vista betas, right? This is good, I won't need a separate key for each PC...
