Is there a way to get a technet subscription than paying 500+ ? Thats a bit high...

yah... get a career in the IT industry... company pays for mine ;)

Seriously though... when you consider the amount of toys you get to test and play with... $500 is well worth it... i think its also cheaper [$350?] if you get technet direct - no DVD shipments. We have technet PLUS but i never even open the DVD's when they come in.

Central time, (from TX), downloading 7 Home Premium x86 from connect....still don't see any keys yet, though....

edit: 7 Ultimate just showed up!

Have you paid MSDN

Whos Tripod? I turned my volume down...

You don't need to pay for it, as I can't even afford it. You need to be emplyed by a buisness that is of relations with Microsoft so that you can receive or earn MSDN, or Technet for free as long as you work there.

Thanks for the information of the Windows.com, and 2.5 Million is okay although their servers will be busy for awhile.

Wait, let's see if Windows 7 Beta will break a record, shall we? :)

Too bad the real x64 is available for download from MS now. Dam them pirates were a bit slow on this one :p

I haven't seen it. Will check when I get to work tomorrow since we have a TechNET subscription.

The official beta will be made available to MSDN and TechNet subscribers on 07 January 2009 and for public download on the Windows 7 web site on 09 January 2009.
