BoDEAN
I've heard that once you run Dual monitor, you never want to go back to single monitor. Curious as to how many users on here run a dual monitor for their desktop, and what size monitors they run? Attie
I have: 2x Dell 17" (1280x1024) 1x 23" Apple Cinema Display (1920x1200) 1x Dell 22" (1680x1050) So yea.. Quad too, and no, i would never go back, and yes, i do use them all... One annoying thing. The 2x Dell 17" and the ACD have roughly the same pixel size. But the Dell 22" has larger pixels. If you ever do multi screen, make sure the pixels are as close to the same size, or the screens are identical! ;) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/718102-do-you-run-single-or-dual-monitor-setup-on-your-rig/#findComment-590370782 Share on other sites

Kenji
1x 32", 1x 22"+1x 15" on my thinkpad.. Could I count it as triple screen? I use the 32" on its own on my HTPC but with synergy so i only use one keyboard and mouse. :p I started using Dual Screens about 3 years ago, I cant go back, ive tried, but I always end up buying another monitor. GrimReeper
I would never go back. 22" Samsung SyncMaster 226BW and 15" Philips. I started with 2x 15" and saved me from dying when everyone had already moved on to 20" by then. I'm gonna get a 2nd 22" or a 24" since I'm already use to using two different size monitors. IceBreakerG
At work, I have dual 20" LCD monitors (at least I think they're 20", maybe 19, not sure I can't find a model number them anywhere). At home I have a single 42" LCD (one of the new 120hz Vizio XVT models). I prefer the 42", but it's pushing the limits on being too large for a monitor. The Teej
1x 22" Monitor. I have to say, I've actually wanted a second monitor for a very long time now. Nothing majorly big, something like a small 15"-17" LCD monitor which can go nicely to the side of my current monitor, so I can watch some vidoes both offline and online, or keep IRC up constantly. I mean, ideally, I'd love to have 3x 24" monitors, 2 for my main PC and then have a second PC for hi-def media and streaming, or possibly even console gaming. But to be honest, I don't have the space or the money for that :p Plus, for what I'd use it for, I don't have the money for the software either :p Nonetheless, I'm still very grateful for the setup I have. It serves me well. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/718102-do-you-run-single-or-dual-monitor-setup-on-your-rig/#findComment-590371232 Share on other sites

Although it can be a bit weird at first with a 15" being 1024x768 and a 22" being 1680x1050 I still think it is far better than a single 22". zeke009
I used to have a dual monitor setup at home. My primary was (still is) a 22" widescreen LCD and my secondary was a 17" standard LCD. That 17" went to the mother in laws for a "short time" and never made it home. At work I use an external 17" LCD for my primary and then my laptop display as a secondary one for my calendar and chat windows. Outlook on the Desktop is always up on my laptop display with my calendar... handy little app, wonder how long until I get caught using unapproved software though. :( Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/718102-do-you-run-single-or-dual-monitor-setup-on-your-rig/#findComment-590371580 Share on other sites
Starbuck84
I'm running a Samsung 245b (1920x1200) as my main monitor and a Samsung 172x (1280x1024) as my secondary "dump screen". On the smaller monitor I tend to place all the control panels and setting windows which I want to keep around, but don't need every minute. Working like a charm for me. At work currently 2x 19" from Acer (1280x1024). Only downside is the vga cable they used is of inferior quality leaving a very bad image on screen. :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/718102-do-you-run-single-or-dual-monitor-setup-on-your-rig/#findComment-590371636 Share on other sites
