The_Decryptor Veteran Posted March 9, 2009 Veteran Share Posted March 9, 2009 Not at this rate, i think safari 4 will have another beta before going final and SF 4 willl be released before Firefox 3.5 goes final. the third beta has been pushed back to March 12. and Firefox will now go from 3.1 to 3.5. beta 3 will still use the 3.1 number. and they will be a beta 4. Here's the Status on all this.... Probably wouldn't surprise me, they've been working on Safari 4 for a long time, their first preview release was released just before Firefox 3 was released. Just get the .dmg, open it, and drag and drop into Applications. It'll override everything, but should still keep your bookmarks and passwords etc. Easy as pie. I've noticed various Speed increases around nearly all websites, even Neowin! The Firefox auto-update feature works with stable releases, not betas. If you want to be as up-to-date as possible, use Minefield instead of this beta. Minefield auto-updates every day to the latest nightly.
