Windows 7 Build 7048 x86 (32-bit) finally leaked!

So I've just installed 7022 and it's running great. Not a single issue so far. Do I have to completely wipe if I want to run 7048 or what?

No you can upgrade if you want, but to be honest it's better off doing it from scratch.

Quite good, just disable the auto-compatibility list. It's almost never actually needed and most sites work a lot faster with the new engine.

It appears that the way downloaded installs launch has been changed because when downloading google chrome like i've done for every other build it first said launching application before it started with the way it usually works could this be a new thing to do with security in ie 8?

How do links linking to Windows Media Player work. In Beta 1? Sometimes when I clicked on a link to Windows Media Player file it just failed.

Worked fine here (using FF atm but I did have some files and it really wasn't a problem at all!)

There will never be built in free anti-virus. Microsoft is planning to release a free protection suite sometime in the future though.

Antivirus won't be built-in. (European stuff anyone?) But Microsoft will be releasing a free antivirus when Onecar is phased out.

It's a good idea to put your valuable stuff on a different partition at least .. a different drive altogether would be even better!

Much easier to upgrade and not worry about losing stuff after that ..

I really like build 7048 (both x86 and x64). It is rock solid and really no significant issues that I have found. Good job Mr. Sinofsky! When this retails, I plan to purchase a copy and I encourage everyone to do so also.

After reading the issues some people are having with iTunes I think I'll wait until the RC is officially released. It's one of my most used applications so I'm not taking any chances.

Not to get off topic, but I found Songbird (with iTunes skin) very similar to iTunes. You might want to check it out.

Either they upgraded or changed the drivers for my integrated video card on my laptop or this build is simply faster, since in 7022 (unlike 7000 and earlier builds if I remember correctly) every Aero animation was a bit jerky. Now it's buttery smooth. :D It also feels more polished overall, even though it was great before. :)
