Benzema is going to the Mancs for ?38 million as well apparently. 38 million! That's a hell of a lot for Benzema, but since Real went crazy I'm not really surprised. Lyon and many other clubs which have United targets see we have ?80 million to potentially spend, so they'll be in charge of the situation and tell us to cough up. Personally anything over ?30 million for Benzema is too much. Its strange.. on one hand Madrid are buying great players who United want and these players are rejecting United to go to Real and then we have United who want to buy a striker that Madrid sold (or rejected.. if that helps get the point across) because he was not performing.. You buy someone on the cheap/free so you don't come across as *needing* the player you want and so don't get held to ransom. He's gotta pass the medical first, which could take place today. I think at Man U, Owen might have a chance to get back into the limelight.
