BUT my problem is: I have more than one PC, r.g. an desktop (more than 4 GB RAM) running x64 Software like MPC, ffdshow, drivers etc.

My Atom cpu notebook has to run x86 because of the processor. Now I have to keep every program up to date in two different versions. NOD32 AV 32bit/64bit and so on.

I could give you an endless list of programs I have an both pc's.

If you want to start an argument please start a thread in another section, this one is for a new leak of 64 bit Windows 7. X64 can handle 2gb of ram easily.

It can handle it, of course, but it's a waste.

Any x64 operating system will have a higher base memory usage than a corresponding x86 OS. Though you don't gain access to the 64-bit extentions/extra registers/etc., it may be worth it for many users with 2gb to stick with 32-bit because of the extra overhead.

Oy Vey. Internet Police is out again..........

Unimatrix Xero was just trying to be helpful to a new poster here by reminding them that Neowin doesn't allow torrent links to warez (which this is since Microsoft hasn't released this particular build to the public for free download).

Just Loaded 7048 :D haha, looks like I'll be downloading and installing this now :p. I'm already running out of discs :/

I shall have to use one of my Dual Layers :o.

That's why having a few DVD+RW media is so useful for beta periods... rewritable media ftw!!!

do you have a flash key 4GB and higher? http://www.electronicpulp.net/2009/01/14/h...sb-flash-drive/

works great.

No but I'm sure I can aquire one :D hehe. I'll do that :)

Currently running 7057 x86 as I download 7057 x64 :p

I noticed that WMP now plays .mov files which is cool. No longer need QT and all the hidden crap it comes with.

Been that way since pre-7000 actually, so... unless you have specific needs for certain codecs, don't install any codec packs or you'll screw things up. :)

Only thing that hasn't played for me so far in WMP12 are Real Media files and I could care less about those - and yes I know they're big for anime movies/show episodes, but not everyone needs it.

Also, Media Player Classic - Home Cinema is still highly recommended for video playback, but WMP12 does a damned fine job nowdays with most anything. Can't handle MKV container content yet, hence the MPC-HC recommendation, but maybe someday... maybe...
