Have a problem: the text on the tabs is black, and not white like you said in the first post.

This creates little problems, being that I have a black background.

Screen:

here's how to change the tab text :) change it to your liking

/*-------tab text------*/

.tabbrowser-tab:not([selected="true"]) > .tab-text {
color: white !important;
text-shadow: steelblue 0px 0px 10px,
			 steelblue 0px 0px 10px,
			 steelblue 0px 0px 10px !important;
opacity: .90 !important;
}

.tabbrowser-tab:not([selected="true"]):hover > .tab-text {
color: white !important;
text-shadow: steelblue 0px 0px 10px,
			 steelblue 0px 0px 10px,
			 white 0px 0px 10px !important;
opacity: .9 !important;
font-weight:bold!important;
}

.tab-text {
color: white !important;
text-shadow: cyan 0px 0px 10px,
			 cyan 0px 0px 10px,
			 cyan 0px 0px 10px !important;
font-size:12px !important;
opacity: .9 !important;
}

.tab-text:hover {
color: white !important;
text-shadow: cyan 0px 0px 10px,
			 cyan 0px 0px 10px,
			 cyan 0px 0px 10px !important;
font-size:12px !important;
opacity: .9 !important;
}

I just upgraded Firefox to the 3.5 RC1. All-Glass was already installed in the previous version & I notice no issues running it with the RC1.

I am running Win 7 7232, btw.

It is simply an awesome add-on! In fact, it is the first add-on I install when I do a clean install.

Thanks!

You rock! :yes:

I love this add on, will this work on Thunderbird?

No, it will not. I even tried the 'Make Compatible' option in MR Tech Toolkit, didn't do anything. Two different animals.

Oh, and by the way, thanks Ambrose!

Latest release for Firefox 3.5 RC 1: All-Glass Firefox 2.1.2

If you are running 3.5b4 or b99, please update to 3.5 RC 1 first! (can be downloaded here).

Very important!

You HAVE to uninstall v2.0(.x) first!For Mozilla Addons I had to create a new GUID, not uninstalling any older version of Glasser or my All-Glass mod will produce problems!

Download All-Glass Firefox 2.1.2 for Firefox 3.5 RC 1

Changelog

v2.1.2

- Updated for Firefox 3.5 RC 1

- Fixes a bug with the viewport top border moving down when hovering the All Tabs button

- Fixes ugly borders on the New Tab button

- URL Bar height updated to match with Search Box[/font]

Dunno if this is possible or not but it could be nice to have options to choose some area of firefox we don't want to apply the glass effect on.

This way it will work and be compatible with more themes. I would exclude Menu from being affect as its mostly the only area i'm getting some issue with this addon.

Do you mean the file menu? A lot of people of hide the menu, then use a button the navigation toolbar.

Hey Ambroos question for you. How hard would it be to make it work great with Chromifox Basic? https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/8782

I love using this theme, but would LOVE for All Glass to work with it.

As you can see from the screenshot, really the only thing that needs to change is the area around the menu, the Navagation bar, the area just to the right of the last tab and the bookmark text being white instead of black.

Other than that this theme addon would look GREAT with it.

Anyone up for the challenge?

I had a look and managed to find this. I think there is someone working on it, but I'm not sure how far they've got

See the posts by 'Triton' :)

When using Hide Caption Titlebar, (or some other extension to hide the titlebar, and save screen space) The transparency effects of this addon suddenly lose the "blur" effect. It is still transparent, but if a window is open underneath, it is very heard to read buttons and tabs and such.

Is there an easy way I could fix this, or is the aero "blur" somehow tied to the titlebar?

Beautiful addon, by the way. I am just a stickler for screen space.

I guess that's just how Windows works... You actually remove all the titlebar which might remove some of the window handler stuff etc...

You can exclude any panel from being glassed (kind of) by emptying (and probably separating) all of the elements in the overlay.css that is associated with it, then instead putting in 'opacity: 0.99 !important;'. That will make the css default back to the built-in style yet turn it opaque.

I could do that but where in hell are located those css files ?

what the hell? I get a black chrome instead of a transparent one. I'm using Firefox RC 3.5 RC3.

edit: could be WEBDEVELOPER's fault. But I need that extension! You could always make it compatible with it, since as you may know WEBDEVELOPER is a well-known and much-used add-on for Friefox.

edit2: it is GMAIL NOTIFIER's fault too.
