is there any way to make the sidebar have glass too with this? i know there is a hack for glasser to achive a glass sidebar but don't know about this.

+1

This is an awesome adds-on. My questions are:

- how to make SIDEBARs, specially ALL IN ONE SIDEBAR glassy like this solution in sevenforum: <a href="http://www.<< spam >>/tutorials/13665-firefox-enable-aero-glass-transparency.html" target="_blank">http://www.<< spam >>/tutorials/13665...ansparency.html</a> . Unfortunately this solution is faulty, my FF blinks etc.

- how to make non-default toolbars glassy: my address and bookmarks toolbar are glassy, but others, like GROWE are not. Again the referred solution addresses it, but glasser does not work well in FF 3.5, All-Glass is so much better.

- Finally, can I change default FONT colors? I have the fonts white in the menu (file, edit, view...) and black on tabs.

I thank very much any help. And thank you for the great adds-on.

Edrik posted an old version on seven forums and won't update it for some reason, so maybe you hit a bug. What do you mean by 'FF blinks' exactly?

Unfortunately, there isn't a one size fits all fix for custom toolbars as they need to be reskinned too. As for glasser not working with 3.5, it works fine, no different than all-glass. The dev just hasn't updated the rdf. As I've said before in this thread, the version of the code that Ambroos uses in all-glass is actually older than glasser. The bug that causes child windows to be un-glassed is a result of that. Glasser will do child windows. It's a shame Ambroos hasn't updated his xpcom and javascript as it would make some of the spin off code interoperable.

You need to learn CSS if you want custom font colors. They are all described in overlay.css.

Thanks. In parts:

1- "FF Blinks" means that All-in-One is Glassy but then starts flickering. Unbearable. If I understood you, you suggest that I try again GLASSER solution using the instructions in the link you provided, which may correct the matter?

2- I meant that GLASSER did not work well with FF 3.5 becuase of the flickering I described above. Anyway, if I try reinstalling GLASSER this will solve my toolbar question. But I assume with All-Glass there is no simple answer, is that correct?

3- I took a look at the file overlay... It seems king of complex. I just wanted every font in every toolbar to be black. But then let's leave it how it is.

My problem with the Glasser solution (if I can get rid of the flickering) are two: 1- somehow All-Glass looks much cleaner, better to read and look at; 2- some tabs were kind of unreadable, text was too clear - I don't know maybe it tries to make some websites glassy and screw them up...

First off, I wanna say that I love the add-on.

Thank you, Ambroos!

Second, I was wondering, if at all possible, could you could add 'support' for All-In-One Sidebar.

The Sidebar gripper is still the default gray/silver/blue color, and I think All-In-One and All-Glass have a small conflict with eachother where a 'bar' on the top of the screen, just below the tabs, becomes discolored:

it would be nice if someone could make the download statusbar a bit more visible, otherwise you have to maximize just to see what you have downloaded

It depends on your desktop background, but it's very customizable. Check the options.

Great addon!

Sorry if this has been asked before (I read back a couple of pages but couldn't find an answer) but is there a way to change the colour of the inactive tabs? I can barely read the text due to it being almost the same colour as the background. THe bookmarks toolbar looks great, very clear and nice, it's just inactive the tabs I'm having trouble with.

Great extension, but using the Firefox 3.7 Mockup theme with this, any text in an extension in the status bar doesn't show up, particular 1-click weather. I can see the icons, but no text so to speak of. Is there some way of editing the extension to show the text? I can't figure it out.

Please hurry and make a version compatible with Namoroka 3.6 Alpha 1 ASAP! Please list a ETA if possible, so I'll come back and see it updated, thank you for your hard work!

yup, but im not going to use a black bg all the time. and changing the font color doesn't work somewhat, it does but it's way too short to make it visible

I can't edit my above post for some reason, but after suffering through a BSOD (.NET Framework doesn't appreciate being disabled and then re-enabled apparently) the problem was strangely TwitterFox. Problem solved for now.

I'm getting that "black below the menu bar" glitch people have been reporting before...

Windows 7 and Firefox 3.5.2

Screenie will come shortly.

it's the web developer addon, someone here said it earlier

p.s.

if anyone has problems with inactive tabs or download statusbar being unreadable there's a fix

vizion, I like to run the camifox? I have the file. camifox@altmusictv.com zip folder but do not know how to make it work: S and tested several things, excuse my ignorance. thanks for your answer

When you extract the zip file you should get a folder named camifox@altmusictv.com.

Place this folder in this location: C:\Users\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\g2wmw86w.default\extensions

The text in bold will be different on your system.

You'll also need the latest version of the All-Glass Firefox Extension.

Note: Firefox might ask you if you want to install a newer version of Camifox. Make sure you select do not install :)

That should be it! Let me know how you get on.

Glad you got it working. Regarding the transparent search bar I forgot to add that before! :blush:

I have a stylish script that does exactly that. You'll need the Stylish Addon if you don't already have it. Then just click 'Write new style' and paste in this code:

@namespace url(http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul);

#urlbar , #searchbar *{
  -moz-appearance: none !important;
  background: transparent !important;
  -moz-border-radius: 0px !important;
  color: #fff !important;

/* These font settings are optional.*/
/*font-family: Tahoma !important;
font-size: 11px !important;
font-weight: bold !important; */

}

I take no credit for the code. Remove the comments ( /* */ ) around the font settings if you want to change any of them. I found it on the Stylish site. And regarding the actual glassing of the Camifox skin, that was modified by dragon0823 :)
